The Master and VIP ensuite staterooms are located forward on the main deck.
1. The master stateroom is full beam with a king size bed and includes his and hers marble sinks, whirlpool bathtub and a separate shower room, plus study.
2. The VIP stateroom has a king size bed, luxuriously appointed ensuite with a bathtub and a separate shower room.
Four staterooms are located below on the lower deck
1. The FULL Beam VIP stateroom on the lower deck features a king size bed, ensuite with a bathtub and separate shower room.
2. Two twin bedded ensuite staterooms with showers.
3. A queen size bed, ensuite stateroom with bathtub a and separate shower.
Note:  The Upper Salon features a gaming and card table, a full bar area, video arcade games, an air hockey table and a karaoke machine, X-box, Wii, Multiple board games, Nearly 1,000 movies.

Crew Profile

CAPTAIN: GRANT HEUNIS, 40, SOUTH AFRICAN

Grant grew up in East London, South Africa and has been onboard since September 2004. Grant holds his 3000 ton Master Licence, and is a PADI rescue diver. He’s a keen sportsman and competed at a provincial level in water polo and surfing in South Africa. Along with most of the deck crew, he is also a RYA Jet Ski Instructor. A combination of qualifications and experience from these backgrounds ensures a well developed sense of safety and security while at the same time guaranteeing a fun filled vacation. A strong emphasis on planning, organisation and training ensures impeccable vessel preparation and presentation and that a professional and motivated crew is on hand to pamper you.

1ST OFFICER: MATT FRIZELLE, 33, SOUTH AFRICAN

Matt was born in Durban. He is a qualified commercial diver, holding his class 2 certificate, as well as being a PADI rescue diver. He also holds his Chief mate 3000 Ton Captain’s licence, RIB level II, Jet Ski Instructor and is Passion’s Navigational Officer. Previous to working on Passion, he lived and worked in London for 2 years. Matthew has extensive experience in water sports, such as jet skiing, river and sea kayaking, wake boarding and kite boarding. The above, and his love for the ocean, adventure and travel is what drew him to pursue a career in yachting. His other interests include rugby, music and fishing.

CHIEF ENGINEER: STEPHEN LONG, 50, BRITISH

Stephen joined Passion after being Chief Engineer on a number of private yachts, which has given him a wide variety of experience. Stephen trained as an engineering technician for the Lotus Formula One team and has also spent time with other top flight motor racing groups including team Schuppan and Porsche Lemains 24 team. He has worked at sea since 1995 and joined us from M.Y. Galaxy in 2006. Stephen is a qualified Y2 engineer. Stephen’s interests include motorbikes, cars and crisps.

CHIEF ENGINEER: DAVE SHEREDA, 45, AMERICAN

Passion has two rotating Chief Engineers who do a great job of ensuring that all the domestic and operational systems on board are in top class working order. Dave has been on board since 2002, a few months into the refit. Dave started his life at sea sailing the world on the family’s cruising yacht and progressed onto bigger private yachts. He started his technical career by completing an Aircraft Fitter’s Apprenticeship for Denmark’s SAS Airline. David is a qualified Y-2 Chief Engineer and also holds a Masters 200 ton license.

2ND ENGINEER: JAMES SWANWICK, 30, BRITISH

James is originally from Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood. In his early teens his family decided to sell their house, buy a yacht and sail to Antigua. Growing up on the Island he attended the local schools and spent his spare time on and around the water leading him to discover the world of yachting. He is an MCA Y-4 qualified Engineer and joined Passion in May 2012. Some of his hobbies include scuba diving, wakeboarding, sailing, fishing, and is currently learning to skydive.

BOSUN: AARON HARPER, 28, NEW ZEALAND

Aaron grew up in West Auckland, New Zealand. After school Aaron spent four years travelling and working in New Zealand and SE Asia before moving to the U.K. Aaron returned home to complete a one year certificate in Marine Engineering which took him to Fort Lauderdale in 2010 where he began his yachting career. Aaron has recently completed his Yacht Master Offshore 200 Captains Licence before joining Passion in November 2012. In his spare time Aaron enjoys water sports, snowboarding, travelling, nature and wildlife.


DECKHAND: ROBERT POHL, 26, SOUTH AFRICAN

Robert was born in Kokstad, South Africa. Robert studied sports management in Durban. He’s an avid sportsman enjoying rugby, cricket, cycling, fishing and golf. After his studies, he moved onto Contract Cleaning, where he was operations manager for two and a half years. Robert holds a Yachtmaster offshore 200 ton captains licence and joined Passion in August 2012 when his love for the ocean and travel brought him into yachting.



DECKHAND/DIVE INSTRUCTOR: LEA CORDDRY, 24,
Lea grew up in Baltimore County, MD. After leaving school, she became a hairstylist and continued to work at a high end salon whilst studying Environmental science at night school. Lea then studied abroad in Brisbane Australia in 2010 where she found a love for traveling and discovered her passion for diving on a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. In 2012 she became a certified Dive Master on a boat in Ocean city, MD. After finishing her studies and graduating with a degree in Environmental Science, Lea headed to St Maarten where she worked as a Dive Master on various boats. Lea completed her Dive Instructor certification in August 2013 and joined Passion shortly after. Her interests are diving, traveling, fishing, hiking and camping.     


DECKHAND: TRISTAIN KIRK, 24, SOUTH AFRICAN

Tristain grew up in Durban, South Africa. After completing an undergrad degree in Psychology and Communications and then a post-grad in Branding and Communications, Tristain’s love for travel and the ocean lured him into the yachting industry. Tristan loves anything aqua related and has recently completed his Open Water Padi dive certificate. He is also an avid fisherman and loves off road motor biking.



HEAD CHEF: LIAM DOOLEY, 26, BRITISH

Liam was born and raised in High Wycombe, England. Liam had always had a love for cooking and so after finishing a degree in Geography he decided to pursue his dream. In 2009 he completed his NVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery Certificate. Liam then moved to London and spent 4 years working in a Michelin star restaurant. Liam joined Passion as Sous Chef in May 2012 before being promoted to Head Chef. His hobbies include reading, field hockey and travelling.
 
SOUS CHEF: LOUIE DE MATEO, 25, AUSTRALIAN
Louie was born in the Philippines and raised in Melbourne Australia.  After finishing school in 2006 he completed his 3 year chef apprenticeship and has been pursuing a culinary career ever since. In 2009 Louie relocated to Hamilton Island in Queensland where he spent a year working on the Islands most elite yacht clubs. In 2011 Louie then moved to London, where he worked at ‘Chez Bruce’, a Michelin star restaurant for two years. Louie is new to the yachting industry having joined Passion as the Sous chef in October 2013. His hobbies include of traveling, music, trekking and all water related sports.



 
 

CHIEF STEWARDESS: JESS RUTTY, 23, BRITISH
Jess discovered yachting in 2008 after finishing College in England and has been furthering her hospitality skills ever since. She joined Passion in 2008 where she worked for 4 years. Jess then took a year off in order to gain some experience on another boat before returning as Chief Stewardess in September 2013. Jess recently completed her level 3 wine certificate and is keen to continue her viticulture studies in the future. Her other interests include, traveling, reading and field hockey.   

2ND STEWARDESS: KATE HOBSON, 26, SOUTH AFRICAN
Kate was born and raised in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. After school Kate went onto study Events management and wedding planning in Stellenbosch. Being involved in hospitality from a young age Kate always wanted to travel and further her knowledge, so she went to England in 2010 and worked at a private members club in Henley on Thames. Kate started yachting in 2011 and continues to grow in the industry. Her interest are organizing events, traveling, photography and meeting new people.

STEWARDESS: JILLENE KNOX, 24, SOUTH AFRICAN

Jillene grew up deep in the Drakensberg Mountains, South Africa. Upon finishing school, she moved to the UK and worked in sales in both the UK and America. Jillene then moved to China and studied Chinese. She then spent several years teaching English in China, Turkey and Cambodia. Jillene is passionate about flying, any type of sport, animals and languages.

STEWARDESS/MASSUESE: ANDREA TIERNEY, 32, IRISH

Andrea was born in Ireland. She qualified with cibtec and cidesco diplomas in beauty thereapy and worked in the industry for 5 years. In 2005 she started to travel and ended up settling in Sydney, Australia, where she now has residency. After seven years in Australia, she decided to pursue her love for travelling, and joined Passion in January 2013. Her interests include exercising, fashion and music.

STEWARDESS: NICOLLE VOIGT, 23, SOUTH AFRICAN

Nicolle was born and raised in the Durban countryside, South Africa. After completing her under graduate degree in communications and psychology, she completed her post graduate degree in Brand management. After four years of studying and a growing urge to travel and meet new people from different walks of life, she decided to join the yachting industry in February. Nicolle enjoys staying fit, reading and learning about different cultures.

Layout

PASSION can accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins. The Master cabin has a king size bed, bath/tub, shower and toilet. 2 Guest cabins have a twin bed, shower and toilet. A VIP cabin has a king size bed, bath/tub, shower and toilet. A VIP Lower Deck cabin has a king size bed, bath/tub, shower and toilet. A Queen cabin has a queen size bed, bath/tub, shower and toilet. PASSION is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate companionway, heads and shower.
