PENTESILEA II Crew Profile
Captain Travis Warren Lindberg and Chef/Mate Rosemary Peace Olson
If it has something to do with the water, the great outdoors or traveling, Rosemary and Travis want to be there. Whether they’re aboard Pentesilea II enjoying a sunset, or out exploring some pristine reef with their guests, they know how to make your holiday an extraordinary one.
Originally from Colorado, Travis moved to Maryland as a teenager. There, working among the boatyards and marinas of the Chesapeake Bay, he developed his love of boats and the water. After five years on the Chesapeake, he went back to the mountains, where he graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors degree in Political Science as well as an Associates degree in Outdoor Recreational Leadership. After college, he traveled the world working as a dive master, spending time in Chile, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and Southeast Asia before landing in the Virgin Islands . Working as the lead safety diver/first mate on the “Bob” boat (seen on the Discovery Channel), Travis worked his way up to Captain. He has spent the last few years working in the charter business in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands . He is a PADI Open Water Dive Instructor with 15 years diving experience. Holds his U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ton Master Captain’s License and is fully STCW rated.
Chef and First Mate Rosemary is originally from North Carolina . Her love of the water comes from long summers spent on the Outer Banks. Rosemary graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Studio Arts. Following college, Rosemary spent time in South Africa where she volunteered as a social worker. She is a PADI certified Rescue Diver and has dive experience all over the world, including Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Mozambique, Thailand and the South Pacific. Her culinary training started at a young age in her chef mother’s kitchen…her mother taught her well. Rosemary’s love of preparing fine food in a friendly environment is obvious. Her artistic background is reflected in her beautiful presentations. It is rumored that she makes the best pina coladas in the Virgin Islands.
Travis and Rosemary look forward to welcoming you aboard.
PENTESILEA II Testimonials
July 2011
We want to thank you both again for all that you did to make our charter vacation fantastic. Before going, we were told it would be the best vacation we would ever take and looking back we would have to say it really was the best. Your willingness to accommodate all of our preferences and desires was great. You made us all feel comfort, relaxed and at home right away.
Captain B we really appreciate all that you did. You have a fantastic boat that was perfect for the whole family. Anytime we asked about doing something you always had the right equipment and was willing to lead the group, whether it was diving, night diving, or even tubing. We really appreciate your willingness to not only be the captain of the boat but also our dive master and tour guide. You always were searching for interesting things on every dive so that we could see as much as possible, that was a lot of work and we really appreciated it.
You both were so kind and friendly with all of us and seemed to genuinely care that everyone was having a good time. Your wonderful hospitality allowed us all to really feel comfort and relaxed.
Heather you were always so accommodating to all of us. You quickly picked up on our personal preferences and seemed to always anticipate our next need. Thank you for all that you did to make us all feel at home.
It was wonderful getting to know both of you better. You are really nice people.
Attached are some photos from the trip. I will have to send them in two emails.
Hope to sail with you again.
