Brightest star in the zodiacal constellation Gemini, a reddish giant star, positioned on the head of the Southern Twin. Pollux – the immortal Twin – and Castor – the mortal Twin – known as “The Gods of Sparta”, also called Hercules and Apollo. The Chinese recognised Pollux as Yang, one of the two fundamental principles upon which all things depend (Ying Yang).
M/Y Pollux is a perfectly maintained yacht built by Cantieri di Pisa in 2000. Her interior design by Don Starkey provides space and comfort through a fusion of Japanese and art deco themes.

The yacht can accommodate 8-10 guests in 4 spacious cabins all located on the lower deck.
The full beam master stateroom features calm shades, plentiful sunlight, and a sense of relaxation—all dominating elements that allow the imagination to flow freely. In the master cabin bathroom, the surfaces are dressed in gold and silver, colours which blend perfectly with the onyx marble, proving that attention to detail has been meticulously considered when using this stately yet elegant design.
The VIP cabin boasts a queen-size bed dressed in leather with soft wooden furniture. The choice of soothing colours in the twin cabins gives the sense of electric luxury, allowing a dreamy voyage. On the lower deck, there are the two spacious twin cabins, both with an extra Pullman berth and ensuite.
Pollux offers space and comfort in outside areas as well. The aft deck area gives one the first feeling of luxury provided onboard. Her spacious table is ideal for breakfast or relaxing. The stylish flybridge has been designed for guests to enjoy life to the fullest out in the open air. With ample space for sunbeds, a dining table and a full beam circular lounging area, it is ideal for informal dining and al fresco cocktails.

Captain – Kostas Haviaras (Greek)

Captain Kostas holds a Captain Class A’ diploma and a Craft Navigation License, while also having collected numerous competence diplomas. Kostas began his career on commercial and cruise ships, and entered the yachting industry in 2003 as Staff Captain onboard the 53m private yacht SHAF, owned by the Royal family of Saudi Arabia. Captain Kostas has been Captain onboard the 50m charter yachts PANORAMA and PANTHEON, the private 30m NINEMIA OF LONDON, and the 65m private M/Y CHRYSALIS owned by the Royal family of Kuwait. In 2009, Kostas was appointed as Captain in charge of the new building 37m Benetti BLUE BAY. Kostas joined the team of POLLUX at the beginning of 2010. Kostas has many admirable qualities and combines charm, hospitality and willpower. He speaks fluent English. In addition, he has received advanced training in fire fighting, life saving, security issues and delivering medical care. Kostas is 39 years old and divorced with one child.

Engineer –Dimitris Gavriil (Greek)

Holding an A’ Class Engineer Certificate allowed Dimitris to be employed at a series of motor yachts. His overall experience at sea on motor yachts and commercial vessels began in 2000. Dimitris worked onboard M/Y RET in 2007 and joined the team of POLLUX during the winter of 2009. In his capacity as engineer onboard M/Y POLLUX, Dimitris will ensure that every system works and is maintained to the highest standard for the safety of all guests. While onboard M/Y POLLUX, Dimitris has fully grasped the vessel’s mechanical needs. Dimitris speaks fluent English. He has a pleasant and responsible personality and is keen to work with the array of sports equipment provided onboard. He is 35 years old and married with one child.

Chef – Pantelis Nakopoulos (Greek)

Pantelis was born in Istanbul and comes from a Greek traditional family. His influence from Istanbul’s culture, known for its culinary specialties and unique sense of flavors, is presented in his artful cooking. After graduating from one of the top chef schools in Greece, Pantelis began his career in leading Athenian gourmet restaurants and hotels such as the Hotel Grand Bretagne in Athens. He has refined his techniques working with world famous chefs and that is evident not only by his culinary results but also by his presentation skills. After getting experience with international cuisines, he joined the yachting industry onboard the 37m charter yacht LET IT BE. Pantelis joined the team of POLLUX in 2009 and will continue to present POLLUX’s guests with gastronomic extravagances. Pantelis is not only an excellent chef, but his pleasant and social character is an extra asset to the professional team of POLLUX.

Pantelis speaks fluent English and has good communicational skills in French. He is 34 years old and single.

Stewardess – Debbie Tsotros (Greek)

Debbie began her career in yachting in 1998. She has worked onboard M/Y ALBACORE II, M/Y AMPHITRITE, M/Y RE DE MARE, M/Y NIMA STAR II, M/Y PAGIA II, M/Y DRAGONFLY. Debbie's hospitality skills are second to none and she prides herself on maintaining the highest levels of service at all times. Being herself a mother, Debbie is excited when children are onboard. She was characterized as a dedicated worker and earnest friend by guests on yachts where she has been a hostess in the past. Debbie is willing but also eager to offer top quality service to the guests of M/Y POLLUX. M/Y POLLUX has become Debbie’s second home as she has been a dedicated member of the crew for the third consecutive year and since the boat was delivered in Greece in 2007. Debbie was born in Australia from a Greek family and finished her studies at Albert Park College. Both English and Greek are her native languages. Debbie is 46 years old and divorced with one child.

Stewardess – Giouli Karagouni (Greek)

After attending some courses in molecular biology at Brighton University, she studied English literature. Giouli worked as a waitress at a New York restaurant until she came back to Greece and worked at luxury hotels. Observing the service field from another point of view, Giouli wanted to have a more active part. Her servicing experience was broadened in various leading restaurant cuisines and hotels, until she decided to join the yachting industry onboard M/Y SAHARA. The personal relation with the guests together with the chance of travelling made Giouli happy. Her overall well-being and happiness is reflected to her guests by the way she offers her services. Giouli speaks excellent English and fluent German. Giouli is 34 years old and single.

Sailor – Christos Karagounis (Greek)

Christos holds a high speed boat license. His working experience in yachting began onboard the 57m M/Y SCAPE. Since then, he has offered his services onboard the well known charter yachts O’PARI, O’NEIRO, and the latest BLUE BELLE. He joined the refreshed crew of POLLUX in winter 2009 and thus has now become familiarized with the boat and the rest of the crew. Christos welcomes the opportunity to instruct or assist in all water sports provided onboard POLLUX. He speaks English. Christos is a hard-working person with a pleasant personality. Christos, apart from his love for travelling, is a very good photographer. He is 30 years old and single.
