PRINCESS ILUKA CREW PROFILE
PETER COOK: CAPTAIN
Peter began his career in the superyacht industry with a boat-building apprenticeship at Lloyds Ships in the 1980’s. Today he brings to PRINCESS ILUKA a wealth of knowledge, sound seamanship, and most importantly an energetic and dynamic approach to all areas of superyacht operations.
Prior to PRINCESS ILUKA, his work history included commissioning superyachts for Australian shipyards: Austal Yachts, Incat, and North West Bay Ships. These experiences gave him the opportunity to cruise the entire coastline of Australia, Tasmania and many islands of the Pacific. Combining a professional approach with his friendly and relaxed manner, Peter is sure to make you feel at home whilst knowing you are in very safe hands. A pure passion for the ocean drives Peter in his quest for adventure.
As the Captain of PRINCESS ILUKA, Peter says “it is essential to have a great crew and I am proud to say we have the best crew our Charter Guests could wish for. We have a core crew of 4 and our regular Chef Peta joins us for charters. We employ a casual Stewardess during charters”
JAMIE QUINN: MATE / DECKHAND
Jamie joined PRINCESS ILUKA with a background in boat building, and with sailing experience as a crew member on the Maxi yacht Matador. He is now a long serving crew member on PRINCESS ILUKA, having cruised the entire east coast of Australia including Tasmania. Jamie looks after guest’s water sports and beach activities. His passion is surfing, since he grew up near the beach in Sydney, surfing every day after school.
LAURENCE CAILLARD: CHIEF STEWARDESS
Laurence has a business background which complements her experience on luxury yachts. Previously the owner of French Patisserie on the Gold Coast; Laurence now puts her management and organisational skills to use to make your charter run seamlessly from the moment you arrive.
Hailing from New Caledonia, Laurence brings her knowledge of the Pacific Islands, their cultures cuisines and languages. Speaking English, French, Spanish and Japanese, you can rest assured that Laurence will provide a solution for every occasion. Guests will appreciate Laurence’s upbeat attitude and her tireless efforts to ensure your charter is relaxing and leaves you wanting to return next year!
RACHEL QUETCHER: STEWARDESS
Rachel works closely with Laurence and together they provide a superior standard of service. She grew up on the coast just south of Sydney in the town of Wollongong. Rachel joined PRINCESS ILUKA after completing her university studies. Aboard PRINCESS ILUKA she has cruised the East Coast of Australia, including Sydney and Tasmania and the Great Barrier Reef. Rachel has a very pleasant composure, is a delight to talk to and has immaculate presentation.
PETA GREW: CHEF
Peta has been with PRINCESS ILUKA since the re-launch in 2009. She is married with 2 beautiful children and joins PRINCESS ILUKA during charters and busy times. Peta is well qualified in a variety of cuisines and leaves guests spell bound with the delights she serves onboard. Her international experience comes from several years working in the galleys of superyachts cruising the world. Prior to PRINCESS ILUKA Peta spent 4 years aboard the 46m sailing superyacht Georgia and completed a circumnavigation as well as cruising the pristine waters of Alaska.
