Chartering in the Caribbean

Operating in the Caribbean

Quest is a 57′ Simonis classic catamaran. She’s a smooth sailing yacht, a spacious live aboard, and an adventure waiting to happen. She’s both the journey & the destination. Quest is abundantly appointed with everything a tropics loving traveler could possibly require, including an accommodating Captain and Chef to take care of all your needs. Pricing is all inclusive but "half-boards" are available at a discount and that means some meals served aboard and others taken ashore.

While the boat easily sleeps 10, we offer 3 Queen staterooms as guest quarters to a maximum of 6 guests. This ensures a relaxed, spacious environment. Tandem charters are available for larger parties.

No shoes, no shirt necessary… no car, no phone, no alarm clock, no gym bag, no laptop, nothing. Just you, your friends / family and the Caribbean Sea. Don’t worry, the wind will take us there, it knows the way. The sun is shining, sails are full and paradise awaits just ahead.

Crew Profile

Luxury charter yacht crew for QUEST
Captain: Chris Brizzolara (46)

Some people are just meant to live on or by the sea. There is an inner yearning that draws them there and that’s just how this partnership came together. Both grew up in the north east of the US and committed themselves to “responsible” careers for much of their early adult lives. Eventually, each answered the calling of the tropics with a decision to move to the Virgin Islands. There they finally met, joined forces, and decided to pledge the their lives to exploring the Caribbean, and sharing their happiness and zest-for-life with travelers from around the world.

Captain Chris was raised in upstate New York but spent his summers in St. Thomas living aboard his dad’s sailboat and exploring the islands. He broke his first sailing record at the age of 8 and never looked back. While sailing through the channel you’ll often see Chris point to the summit of some remote island and proclaim “I peaked that” and he did…. BAREFOOT.

Chris has spent the last 10 years living and working in the US and British Virgin Islands, on and off boats. He has chosen endeavors that impact the health and sustainability of our environment – installing alternate power sources in the Virgin Islands where resources are especially precious; and co-founding the Caribbean Lionfish Safari group in an effort to protect the reef from invasive species. His love and connection to the Islands comes though on every charter; guests know they are experiencing something very special aboard QUEST.

Chef & First Mate: Nikki Assalone (44)

Chef / First Mate Nikki was a revered nutritionist, wellness coach & yoga instructor prior to joining QUEST. Her passion for cooking combined with her wellness background brings about a range of cuisine from sinful to heavenly. As the Chef aboard QUEST, Nikki designs charter specific menus that will make your mouth water. She believes great meals come from exceptional ingredients, time honored techniques, and experimentation with the freshest local foods and seasonal fare. Raised in a very Italian, food-loving family, Nikki’s most cherished memories are of sharing time with loved ones around the dinner table. She brings that same warmth and camaraderie to every meal.

An avid scuba diver and Padi Divemaster with 1000’s of dives under her belt, Nikki began falling in love with boating while playing and eventually working on live-aboard dive vessels in Thailand. Her dive addiction took her around the globe where’s she’s collected experience in world class diving from the frigid Pacific Northwest BC to the balmy waters of Borneo.

You’ll experience both Chris & Nikki’s love and respect for the ocean whether they are sailing you from island to island, serving up delicious food and drinks, or guiding you in a dive or snorkel for a peek at the wonderland below the surface. Their passion for the Caribbean lifestyle is so contagious; you wont ever want to leave.

QUEST can accommodate 6 guests in 3 cabins. The guest ensuite staterooms have a queen size bed, shower and toilet. Crew occupies the forward starboard cabin, head and shower. The forward bow provides a V berth and head for additional crew quarters if a masseuse or dive instructor are brought aboard by request.

Gigi Henderson - Aug 26th  2016

I went on the Quest with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it! We traveled around the USVI's and the BVI's and had a new experience everyday. We had the opportunity to scuba dive, explore caves, relax on the beach, experience the towns on land, and so much more. Nikki and Chris were wonderful hosts, not to mention the food was delicious! They were incredibly knowledgeable about the islands and were very accommodating. To top it all off, there was an entire family of dolphins that were riding on the waves from bow of the boat to welcome us home to St Croix on our last day. This trip was unlike any other and an invaluable experience.

Marjo Aho - Sept 22nd  2016

I will never forget the days of pure bliss we spent sailing and diving the British Virgin Islands on the beautiful Catamaran Quest with our friends and gracious hosts, Captain Chris and Chef Nikki. The yacht was extraordinarily comfortable. Our cabin was roomier than I could have imagined and we slept the sweetest sleep and woke up to the most beautiful sunrises. What a feeling to start the day with a refreshing swim and Nikki's amazing breakfast! Chris and Nikki took us to some incredible secret diving sites that were teeming with fish and heathy coral. I am an underwater photographer and always looking for abundant and healthy marine life. We really appreciated how well Quest was set up for divers. The aft diving deck is roomy and a great place to easily get into dive gear. Entry and exit was super easy, which was much appreciated by this lazy diver with creaky knees. In between dives we ate so much of Nikki's gourmet cooking, took naps on the big trampoline up front, listened to favorite music on a great sound system, went ashore and explored the different islands. It was just The ultimate relaxation trip! The two things that really sets Quest apart from other charter catamarans is that Quest is surprisingly well laid out making the onboard experience unusually comfortable, even with a group of 6 passengers. Secondly, the crew, Nikki and Chris, are, besides being true professionals, some of the nicest, most easygoing, warm, fun and welcoming people we ever met! They did absolutely everything to keep us in a zone of pure bliss throughout the entire charter. If you get a chance to spend some time on beautiful Quest, do not hesitate! This is a unique experience quite in a class by itself, a euphoric dream that surpassed all our expectations. We can't wait to go back again!

Maureen Armonies - Nov 23rd

We've just had the most wonderful stay aboard QUEST for 6 days of paradise. From the swimming, bathing and snorkeling in crystal clear waters to exploring the Caves at Norman Island (rumored to be the very same written about in the book Treasure Island!) The real treasure here is this huge yacht and the attentive, knowledgeable crew. Captain Chris and Chef Nikki are just the right combination of great fun hosts and worker bees in the background making all our days wonderful while we just relax, eat, drink and indulge in the islands. The food was AMAZING and our favorite cocktails seem to magically appear just when we thought we might want one :) The Yacht itself is absolutely gorgeous. It's huge to begin with but the layout was more spacious than I'd have expected. This isn't the cookie-cutter production boats we've seen in the past - it's a custom classic and just feels special. We just loved every minute of it. Thank you!
