

Captain: Simon Potter
New Zealand, aged 41.
Simon has the distinction of having sailed more miles aboard a Perini Navi than anyone else in the world! He began his Yachting career in 1988 and joined the 47-meter Perini Andromeda la Dea as Chief Engineer in 1991, ultimately taking command as Captain in 1995, sailing Andromeda around the world with stops as far north as Alaska and as far south as Antarctica. After 9 years aboard Andomeda he spent a year as Project Manager on the new build of a 64-meter Perini Felicita west, followed by a 6 month stint as Captain of the 56-meter Perini Burassca, finally joining ROSEHEARTY as build supervisor and Captain. His interests and hobbies include skiing, working out in the gym and watching F1 racing.

Dave Matthie
Dave, from Durban, South Africa, has been sailing professionally for 10 years and is aiming to complete his Captains license by the end of the year. Daves hobbies include surfing and wake boarding.
Chief Engineer
Ryan Mclean
Ryan was born and raised on a farm outside of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and gained much of his engineering skills fixing tractors and other farm machinery in the bush. Now an Y3 qualified marine engineer with years of sailing experience behind him, he is “The Perini Engineer.” Ryan is a keen wake boarder and mono-skier.

Graeme Holst
Graeme, hailing from Auckland, New Zealand is as well known for his changing hair styles as he is for his fusion and Pacific Rim cuisine. He has been a Chef for 15 years working in New Zealand’s top restaurants before beginning his life at sea aboard a cruise ship. With 6 years sailing and charter experience he has worked on M/Y Princess Marla, S/Y Symphonia, S/Y Vainqueur and the Perini Navi Lady Lauren. He was professionally trained in classical cooking at the Auckland Chef training school. Graeme has worked in some of Auckland’s top restaurants under New Zealand’s best chefs. Coming from New Zealand Graeme’s main forté is in Pacific Rim and infusion styles. His hobbies include pole skiing, snowboarding, and diving.
He is a passionate spear fisherman and diver and loves nothing more than preparing his freshly caught fish for his guests.
Chief Stewardess
Joanna Whitley
Joanna, calling Adelaide, Australia home, is a very experienced stewardess having worked in the super yacht industry for 12 years. Some of her previous employers include the Perini’s SY ‘Phryne’ and SY ‘Andromeda’. Jo has excellent service skills and an encyclopedic mind when it comes to wines. Her interests include kite boarding and hiking.

Andrea van Rees
Andrea, a professional hair stylist and make-up artist from Auckland, New Zealand, was first introduced to the industry when the Americas Cup came to her hometown. Andrea has a bubbly personality that will put any guest at ease. She loves kayaking and the outdoors.
2nd Engineer
Leo Mora
Leo grew up sailing on the River Plate in Argentina. He is our resident technical wizard. Leo is fluent in 4 languages and currently studying Chinese. His hobbies include kite and wakeboarding.

Adam Robinson
Adam, from Harlow, England is our youngest crew member. He is a dingy and windsurfing instructor, having recently completed his courses in Australia.
