Guest Accommodation Designed by one of the world’s top yacht designers this Andrews 72’s design descends from a line of light weight high performance Turbo-Sleds and combines lines reminiscent of a Swan with the efficiency and practicality of a modern sprit boat.” Launched by Scorpio Yachts Inc (Ontario) in 1998, Safara sailed the fresh water classic Mackinac Races that year before charter seasons in the Caribbean and New England. From 2002 to 2006 she returned to the Great Lakes again completing successful campaigns in both Mac races. After a refit in 2004, Safara was re-launched in July 2006 and sailed back to her home in Newport, continuing south to the West Indies where she kept pace against performance yachts with longer waterlines, winning her class in the 2010 St. Martin Heineken Regatta. Safara now returns fresh from a refit season in the Mediterranean. “There is not an ugly line on this entire design. It's immediately obvious that this boat is good-looking, from any angle. The ultra delicate sweep of the sheer combines with the low sedge of the cabin to give us a very contemporary-looking yacht in the classic style established by the Swan line. Combined with the simplicity of the interior, with one of the most effective uses of a carbon-fibre and foam-core structures that provides a quiet and comfortable setting in a perfect marriage of form and function. Nobody said it had to be complicated to be good". Robert Perry Sailing Magazine Review Guest Accommodation: Safara can accommodate up to 6 – 8 guests, however, is ideally set up for 3 couples. The master cabin has a queen size bed with separate lounge which could be made in to a single bed for another adult or child. Private en-suite includes wash basin, toilet and separate deep bowled bath/shower. The aft cabins both have double beds (port side aft cabin also includes another single berth for either small adult or child) and private en-suites with wash basins and toilets. These cabins are connected to a separate stand-up shower with ample hot water. Air conditioning and heating throughout Safara will enable your comfort in all conditions. Audio Visual Equipment and Deck Facilities: Flat screen 50” TV in main salon includes an impressive surround sound system perfect to enjoy a selection of over 500 movies or simply relax to music on deck or down below. Cards, Backgammon set, Poker set and much more also available. On Deck there are plenty of soft deck lounges to lie around on and soak up the sun. Snorkelling equipment is also available and a Third Lung Diving hookah system which allows multiple divers the freedom to dive without the encumbrance of traditional scuba gear. |
