Crew Profile

Captain: Len Beck (53)

Len grew up in the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains area of New York and entered the yachting world immediately following college in 1984. Len has captained boats from 42 to 216 feet in length, and on his last command, he sailed over 200,000 nautical miles visiting over 60 countries. He enjoys all outdoor activities, wildlife and nature. When not sailing around, Len enjoys being home with his family gardening, landscaping and enjoying the quiet, country life. Len makes his home in Woodstock, New York, where he grew up, and is joined there by his wife and their two children.

Chief Officer: Mark "Marko" Evans (37)

"Marko" comes from the home counties, just outside of London, England. He joined the yachting industry 10 years ago but has always enjoyed working at sea. He began with a children's adventure camp as a sailing and canoe instructor, before moving to the Caribbean for 3 years. Whilst in the Caribbean, Marko skippered the racing sailboat, "Stars & Stripes" winning the America's Cup in her retirement. When not on board, Marko enjoys life in Central Florida with his wife.

First Officer: Patrick Flynn (28)

Patrick hails from the historical Victorian town of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He became accomplished in the hospitality industry as a restaurant manager at a young age. His thirst for adventure and travel led him to pursue a career in the yachting industry in 2010. Patrick is currently working on obtaining a Master 3000-GT License and is passionate about mountain biking and hiking in new locations around the world. He also enjoys reading biographies, cycling, playing scrabble, surfing and maintaining his fitness.

Chief Engineer: Mike Davey (46)

Mike was born in Auckland, NZ and grew up in the quaint suburb of Beach Haven where, however, there is more muddy backwater than beaches; earning the nickname "Muddy Bay Haven". After completing his Engineering Apprenticeship in Fitting and Turning and gaining knowledge and experience in various technical industries, he was 'coerced' by his yachting parents to join the scene. He started in Palma, Mallorca and hasn't looked back since. In his downtime Mike, enjoys sipping coffee and craft beer, of which he is a self-professed aficionado back in his native New Zealand.

Chief Stewardess: Francesca ‘Ches’ Molloy (36)

"Ches" grew up in Sydney, Australia where she developed an instant love of water. Ches was on the elite rowing teams through high school and college, winning the Women's Rowing Oxford Cambridge in 2001. She graduated university, yet discovered working as ski instructor in the US and Canada slopes over studying pediatrics was more to her liking. Ches placed her leadership capabilities and super organized skills into roles as a Senior Event Specialist for several large global blue chip companies and top hotels around the world, then moved to PA/Estate Management for an NFL team owner and several private residences. Having transitioned into yachting a decade ago, the ongoing dream being to build a property portfolio.

Head Chef: Megan Barnes-Reichman (44)

Growing up in Norwell, Massachusetts, Megan aspired at an early age to become a Chef. She went on to receive a degree in culinary arts and food service management, as well as a Masters in Hospitality and Business from Johnson and Wales University in RI. Always top of her class, Megan won many cooking competitions and awards. Upon graduation, she was hired as Chef de Cuisine by the Four Seasons / Regent hotel Group. While she was fortunate to have had some of the world's most discerning clientele, she was enticed by the freedom and challenges of creating menus using local ingredients and adapting international culinary skills.

Bosun: Michael Brogan (26)

"Mickey" was born and raised in Luton, UK with his Dublin-born Irish parents. Mickey has a knack for learning languages having studied Italian and Spanish before pursuing some time as a mixologist. This, combined with his passion for travel and experiencing other cultures, led Mickey to live and work in some trendy locations, including Rome, Madrid, Ibiza and the French Alps. During this time, he was spotted by a yacht Captain who invited him to join his crew whilst cruising the Mediterranean for 2 years. Mickey's favorite pastimes include skiing, soccer, swimming and snorkeling. He plans to earn his dive certification in his spare time.

Deckhand: Guy Sullivan (21)

Guy grew up in Chelmsford, England. An only child, he comes from a small close-knit family of drama / theater enthusiasts. Veering away from acting, his hobbies reflect anything having to do with adrenaline. Rugby bring his favorite sport to play, Guy earned the award of club colors on his team. In his spare time, he also enjoys playing cricket and golf, and even holds a talent of juggling. Guy recently graduated from Exeter University, where he studied physics. He joined the yachting industry for that same love of challenge and camaraderie that he has for rugby.

Deckhand: Nicholas McArthur (22)

Nick’ was born in Johannesburg and raised in Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, South Africa. Having found a love for sailing at the age of 16, Nick earned his sailing yacht master off shore. This led him to work aboard tall ships and sailing yachts for the following 3 years. He has spent much of his time traveling the whole of South Africa and UK, as well as much of Europe and Africa. Nick's favorite pastimes include body boarding, gaming and long boarding. His life goal is to travel to every country, but first looks forward to earning his OOW.

Deckhand: Suzanne Gittens (27)

‘Suzie’ is an all-rounded sportswoman, having spent the winter skiing on the slopes of Europe and the summers sailing in the seaside resort of Portsmouth where she grew up. Teaching kite surfing, windsurfing and sailing in Greece for four summers sparked the natural progression into yachting. Suzie joined the yachting industry over three years ago and has integrated her passion with her work, with her love of the outdoors and added interesting fact she would love to travel to space! In her free time, Suzie enjoys dusting off the kite surf along the Floridian coast and plans to extend on her already lengthy travel list, to explore all corners of the globe.

Chief Engineer: Lee Dodds (38)

Lee was raised in South Wales, UK on a small family farm. His father being a sailor and teacher of the martial art, Aikido, Lee learned both skills from an early age and continues to practice today. A notable accomplishment, Lee motorcycled 18,500 miles across the US, including through the 135°F Death Valley in Eastern California. In his earlier years, Lee was employed in a variety of industrial and engineering jobs, eventually leading him to work on tall ships in the Grenadines. A natural progression, Lee soon became a yacht engineer and has been doing it ever since.

Second Engineer: Sean Staine (24)

Sean grew up in the town of Hermanus, South Africa, popular for its Southern Wright Whale watching. Growing up along the rugged coast, cultured Sean an affinity for kite-surfing, mountain biking and SCUBA; more specifically, wreck-diving. He also spent his youth sport fishing at the provincial level. For 3.5 years, Sean worked as a rescue swimmer and a training coxswain for the South African Coast Guard. A sizable accomplishment, he skippered a 44' crewed from South Africa to Ft. Lauderdale spanning the course of 2 months.

Second Stewardess: Lia Winterbach (29)

Lia hails from the popular wine village of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Spending holidays by the river, she grew up waterskiing from the tender age of 4, becoming highly skilled at slalom skiing. She enjoys being in nature while camping and hiking with her dalmatian. Lia earned her Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting but instead, decided to teach kindergarten English in Thailand following commencement. Hearing of her friends' experiences in yachting, she too was attracted into the industry. She started on a small sailing catamaran, later moving onto motor yachts as deck/stew, advancing to senior stew.

Stewardess: Lauren Hanson (19)

Lauren was born and raised in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, lying between the historical cities of Boston and Providence. Lauren's inclination to help others led her to earn a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2011 and she worked as a pediatric nurse for 4 years. Wanting to seek new experiences and explore more of the world, Lauren joining the yachting industry and enjoy as all aspects where she can utilize her medical background into the yachting career, often found in the Medical Cupboard assisting with inventories or performing safety drills for the crew to highlight awareness and care on board.

Stewardess: Gaytlaine Qualch (30)

Gaylaine ‘GQ’ was born and raised in the metropolitan city of Toronto, Canada. At an early age, she discovered her love of travel as her large family would take road trips every summer; her highlight being Highway 101, touring down the West Coast US. Having a love for the outdoors, Gaylaine enjoys skiing, kayaking and hiking. She is bilingual, speaking English and Cantonese. She worked as a lifeguard throughout high school and studied pre-med in college. Longing for a change of scenery, Gaylaine moved to Antigua in 2013, where she attended medical school. Enticed by the surrounding waters and variety of yachts anchored in English Harbor, she decided to transition into the yachting industry.

Stewardess: Courtney Langford (22)

Courtney grew up on the quaint, coastal peninsula of Cape Cod, Ma. Being raised by her "goofy outdoorsy family", Courtney naturally has a love for fishing, hiking and water sports. Professionally, she has 7 years’ experience in hospitality in restaurants and hotels, coinciding with her education in hospitality and tourism, with a focus on event management. With her background, she quickly found herself working as sole stew on a 130' motor yacht, later advancing to a chief stew position on a small charter yacht traveling the east coast of North America. Courtney considers herself a "mini jack of all trades" and has goals of one day obtaining her 200 ton captain's license.

Sous Chef: Kelsey Struppe (26)

Kelsey comes from Surrey, England, where she grew up on a large, family owned vegetable farm, there fueling her passion for fresh ingredients. She became interested in cooking at a young age, leading her to work in restaurants at the age of 15. She attended Westminster Kingsway College, studying a culinary curriculum. Kelsey moved to London, where she worked for 4 years, most recently at the Claridges Five Star Hotel, gaining valuable knowledge and experience. Kelsey enjoys keeping fit and healthy and has recently taken up an interest with Orange Theory. She also loves travelling and is looking forward to upcoming adventures on board.
