After studying Economics at university in his native France, Captain Battisti pursued an entirely different field of post graduate work – professional sailing. In just eight years he acquired impressive credentials culminating with a 500 ton Master License in 2010. Hei has years of charter captain experience in the Med and Croatia. Additionally he worked as mate and steward on yachts up to 110' in length, providing the highest level of discreet, attentive service. He has detailed knowledge of the Caribbean, the Mediterranean from Spain to Turkey, the Channel Islands, Brittany and the Atlantic coast of France. Arnaud is a PADI Certified Open Water Diver and speaks fluent English.
Arnaud first served as SATORI's captain for eighteen months when she was a private yacht. He gained in-depth knowledge of every onboard system during an extensive six month refit - invaluable for keeping everything running smoothly for SATORI's guests. Arnaud's enthusiasm for sailing in beautiful waters paired with his dedication to "la joie de vivre" make every charter a vacation to remember.

SATORI Testimonials
We had such a great week on Satori, It was a fantastic introduction to sailing for our girls. A far cry from our previous sailing trips on the standard 40' chartered tub. The salon is very spacious with really large deck level windows and the cabins are very comfortable with good en-suite facilities and even electric heads. The boat is so well set up with plenty of linen, towels and even fresh flowers. Arnaud, the skipper, was wonderful and just couldn't stop trying to make our trip better at every turn. Molly, the chef, was great too, rustling up fabulous food that even our fussy eaters couldn't wait to scoff. And to top it all we saw a Whale! The only problem is that all the girls will now expect every boat to be just like Satori.
April 2011
Our 10 day charter on Satori was incredible! This memorable holiday is one we will always treasure
Arnaud was the perfect skipper.. His obvious love for Satori, his boat handling skills and meticulous maintenance of every part of her was admirable and reassuring. His effort to fulfill every aspect of our charter goals, from sailing, waterskiing, kitesurfing and hiking to ferrying back and forth was done with enthusiasm, laughter and a great "can do" attitude. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was possible. He is an extremely warm, true gentleman with a wonderful sense of fun. His desire to fulfill our every need has spoilt us and set a standard of hospitality, care and skill that will be very hard to beat. Thank you Arnaud.
We were also spoilt by Deborah as our chef. Her cooking was fabulous , flavorful, healthy and creative. Each and every dish was so delicious.
Her trademark, crêpes, were to die for!! Deborah put so much effort into every dish she prepared ... each and everyone being scrumptious and her presentation was fantastic. She used the best of everything, from local ingredients to those she had purchased before the start of the charter. Nothing was too much for her and she often was catering 3 different things at one time to meet everybody’s different dietary palates. The hours spent in the hot galley was much appreciated. She is a five star plus chef whose incredible resume understate her skills!
Winter 2011 Caribbean
“This has, quite simply, been the BEST SAILING we have EVER HAD! DORADO was fantastic, blasting through all kind of weather with real grace and speed, courtesy of Matthew's excellent skippering. Everyone helmed in over 40 knots and reached 10 kts +. Memories that will be richly treasured! Getting across to Petit Tabac, with the Alex's excitement at catching the Marlin was also great. Thank you for everything.”
Easter, 2008.
“Matthew Watters is a great skipper. He is a really nice chap and joined in with us very well. He is very competent and works in a very calm quiet manner. He left us to sail the boat without any interference or signs of anxiety on his part. His knowledge of the Grenadines really helped us to enjoy our trip far more than if we just had to rely on the sailing guides.”
Spring 2007
Dear Mark,
On behalf of my wife, my friend Hugh, and myself, I want to thank you for a wonderful time. Being first time sailors, my wife and I didn't know what to expect. Your skipper, Matthew, created a most enjoyable sail throughout the week. We had a great trip of sailing that truly demonstrated his skills as captain. And chef George is a true find. We're not sure which we liked better; sailing or the fine cuisine prepared 3 times a day by George. It was delicious and healthy. Just what we asked for.
Best regards,
