SEA BEAR Main Photo

Previously named Emerald Isle, this outstanding Christensen trideck is 126 feet and was refitted in 2011.

Sea Bear flaunts its high-end decor with the rich Brazilian Honey Teak cabinetry and the onyx-topped table and wetbar. The refitted galley has granite countertops, updated cabinetry and appliances.

This luxury yacht sleeps up to eight guest throughout its four cabins. The Master stateroom, on the main deck, and VIP have king size beds, full bathrooms, closets and entertainment systems. The guest cabins are equally as comfortable with queen size beds.

An experienced crew of five are extremely accommodating proving the toughest decision to make on board Sea Bear will be which deck to lounge on to soak up the rays.

SEA BEAR Crew Profile

Captain David Gies: David is originally from Spokane, WA and has been captain of the M/Y Sea Bear for three years now.  Captain David’s experience spans many cruising areas and over fifteen years as captain. David’s journey has logged him enough miles to circumnavigate the world eight times. He has extensive knowledge of the New England, Caribbean, and the Mediterranean. Before joining Sea Bear, David was captain on board the successful charter yacht Perseverance II and was the build captain for Big Aron.  His easy going personality combined with his attention to safety and the enjoyment of charter guests makes Sea Bear a great choice for your yachting holiday.

Chef Steven Keith Manee: Chef Steven attended the Le Cordon Bleu and now enjoys working on yachts as a charter chef.  Prior to yachts his experience was in restaurants in South Florida.  His easy going attitude, ability to work well as a crew member, and love of the water has fit perfectly on board Sea Bear.   Steven enjoys interacting with the guests and is pleased to talk in depth about the different courses offered on board and of course any special requests or favorites.  He also enjoys water sport activates such as snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, kayaking,  paddle boarding, sailing, wave running, and fishing.

Chief Stewardess Chelsea Dwyer:  Chelsea Dwyer is from Milwaukee, WI.  After graduating from college Chelsea made the natural family progression into yachting.  Her father and grandfather are both yacht captains and spent many years on 300-foot sailings ships and large motor yachts.  Chelsea enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping and she is an avid reader and also enjoys music. Chelsea has a great team attitude, attention to detail and looks forward to spoiling charter guests with five star service.

Mate Amanda Matson: Amanda is originally from Vernon BC Canada. Amanda grew up on a sailboat and has many hours and years logged on the ocean. She lived aboard a 36' sailboat with her parents for 14 years and they sailed the Pacific, Caribbean, and Atlantic Ocean.   Amanda has been working on motor yachts for the last six years and enjoys the crew and yacht Sea Bear.  Amanda recently spent a summer in southeast part of Alaska working on whale watching boats as well. She has a passion for stand up paddle boarding, sailing and biking in her free time and looks forward to seeing you on board Sea Bear.

Engineer Cliff Tweden: Cliff is from Mile City, MT. Cliff is a hands on, fix anything type of guys and makes sure everything runs smoothly on board Sea Bear.  He is a young, energetic, friendly type of personality and this blends in well with the team attitude on board. All smiles and positive attitudes make for a happy charter.
