Captain David Gies: David is originally from Spokane, WA and has been captain of the M/Y Sea Bear for many years now. Captain David’s experience spans many cruising areas and over fifteen years as captain. David’s journey has logged him enough miles to circumnavigate the world eight times. He has extensive knowledge of the New England, Caribbean, and the Mediterranean. Before joining Sea Bear, David was captain on board the successful charter yacht Perseverance II and was the build captain for Big Aron.  His easy going personality combined with his attention to safety and the enjoyment of charter guests makes Sea Bear a great choice for your yachting holiday.

Chef – Adam Glick

With more than 20,000 nautical miles logged, Trans-Pacific crossing, 10 years, experience and Food Network television under his belt, he brings confidence to the table. His creative use of in-season and local produce will transform the everyday meal to an upscale and sensory-enriched experience. His approach to healthy, enjoyable cuisine combines all the best of traditional dishes with a contemporary and ethnic flair. Chef Glick provides culinary services to motor or sailing yachts on Charter, Privately used, or during Delivery/Yard times. From Executive chef, Live-aboard, private chef to recipe development – Chef Adam brings all his years of adventures in the culinary industry to add a memorable dining experience on board, Sea Bear.

Chief Stewardess Chelsea Dwyer:  Chelsea Dwyer is from Milwaukee, WI.  After graduating from college Chelsea made the natural family progression into yachting.  Her father and grandfather are both yacht captains and have spent many years on 300-foot sailings ships and large motor yachts.  Chelsea has been on Sea Bear for several years now and enjoys New England summers and Florida and Bahamas winters.   Chelsea enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping and she is an avid reader and also enjoys music. Chelsea has a great team attitude, attention to detail and looks forward to spoiling charter guests with five star service.

Mate Thad Hall: Thad is grew up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and from an early age has been in and around the ocean. Thad spent much of his free time surfing and free diving. After completing school he spent four years in the Navy and gained valuable experience while navigating all over the world. Thad loves working on board charter yachts and is able to combine his nautical experience with things he enjoys. His current hobbies include paddle boarding, surfing, and diving.

Engineer Jon Cozad:   Jon grew up in Windsor Ontario Canada and spent much of his childhood sailing, fishing and enjoying the great lakes. After completing a collage diploma in Automotive Diagnostic Technician, Jon went on a two and a half year backpacking adventure throughout Australia and South East Asia.  It was here he discovered yachting and the idea he could combine his hands on skills with his love of travel.  Ever since he’s been working on yachts with a great passion for the water and love of all water sports. His problem-solving skills are a great asset to our team and he is always smiling, willing to tackle any job, big or small.
