She began as a charter chef in the Mediterranean and then moved over to the Caribbean and the USA where she continued crewing on boats. She has raced and been on deliveries on both sides of the Atlantic, the Pacific coast of Mexico, and between Tasmania and the mainland of Australia. In 1980 Trish and her partner cruised extensively in the North and South Atlantic on their 38' wooden ketch LICOLE. Their trip took them via the Azores to Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Canaries, West Africa, the coast of Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. Trish has also traveled extensively on land in Europe and North, South and Central America. Returning to the BVI in 1988, she began working as skipper for bare boat companies. In 1993 she oversaw the refit of SERENDIPITY and has been Captain/Manager since. With extensive sailing and high seas experience both cruising and in the charter industry, experience as both charter chef and captain, and the intimate knowledge of the BVI, Trish enhances her guest's experience in the BVI. Her time in the BVI has spawned a deep interest in reef Ecosystems, snorkeling and the preservation of the Marine Environment. She is a founding member to the Association of Reef Keepers in the BVI. Trish loves to share this interest with her guests who through her guidance discover an incredibly beautiful complex underwater world. Sailing instruction and hands on experience are also part and parcel of being aboard SERENDIPITY for those who so desire. Trish's other interests include backpacking, birding, reading, photography and ethnic cooking. She is fluent in Spanish.
