Crew Profile
Captain – Steve Smith
British. Steve has over ten years sailing experience cruising and working on yachts in the Atlantic and Pacific. Since joining SILVER DREAM in September 2004, Steve has obtained his MCA Masters Certificate. All watersports appeal to Steve however he is particularly keen on surfing, wakeboarding and scuba diving.

Mate – Mateo Leonardo Tirmarche Molina
Spanish/French. Mateo graduated from the European Film College, with a degree in Film Studies. He began sailing at a young age and has undertaken several Atlantic crossings on both sail and power boats. His love of the sea led him to spend many years teaching diving as well as sailing in Turkey for Sunsail. During his seafaring career, Mateo has worked on board 70m Schooner ISLANDER, 72m M/Y REVERIE and 30m M/Y INSPIRATION. With a love for travel having visited Asia, South America and Europe, Mateo is keen to see more of the world and is dedicated to his role on board SILVER DREAM. In his spare time he enjoys photography, writing, reading, films and sports. Mateo speaks fluent French, Spanish, Italian and English.

Chief Engineer – Oscar Perez
Spanish. Oscar was born in Caracas, Venezuala. Since graduating from the Merchant Marine University he has spent many years working on both commercial and motor yachts and has never looked back. The past eight years have seen him serve mainly on motor yachts; this is his second period of employment on SILVER DREAM. With a wealth of experience in the industry, Oscar works to the highest standards and ensures the smooth running of the yacht. Outside of work he enjoys swimming, diving, reading, movies and photography. Oscar speaks English fluently and some Italian and Portuguese.

Chef – Geoffrey Alexandre
French. A father of two, Geoffrey takes great pride in his work and has spent the last ten years working in America, Asia and Russia as an Executive Chef. Two of these years were spent on board a celebrity cruise liner which gave him some insight into life at sea. His imaginative and exciting menus never fail to impress his guests on board SIILVER DREAM. Food is also one of Geoffrey’s favourite past times and he has collected a vast number of cookery books over the years! Geoffrey speaks English, Russian and Italian.

Chief Stewardess – Dayna Macdonald
Canadian. Dayna has attained a Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Mohawk College in Ontario as well as a Silver Service Certificate at the American Yacht Institute. She has worked on board motor yachts for the past four years which include M/Y ONE MORE TOY, M/Y CASUARINA, M/Y LADY KATHRYN III and M/Y LADY FERYAL. This time has seen her responsible for all interior cleaning and ensuring that guests’ needs are attended to at all times. Dayna has never been happier than during her time at sea and finds her role highly rewarding. Dayna is a great team leader and highly respected by her team. In her free time Dayna enjoys reading thrillers or mysteries. Dayna speaks some French and Spanish.

Stewardess – Arzu Yildirimgec
Turkish. Arzu was born in Istanbul. She moved to Marmaris in Southern Turkey in 1990 to work on board sailing yachts which travelled the Turkish coast and Greek Islands. Arzu has spent an incredible 20 years serving within the yachting industry, mainly for charter sailing yachts, and is therefore highly qualified in her role and a great asset to the team on board SILVER DREAM. She communicates well with her guests and provides only a first class service. In her spare time she likes listening to music, swimming, all water sports and photography. Arzu speaks Turkish and English.

Stewardess – Jai Chan
Australian. Jai studied Personal Training at the Australian Institute of Fitness and also Creative and Professional Writing at University. Jai was drawn to life at sea with a brother already working in the yachting industry and with a father who owned a sport fishing business. With qualifications in Silver Service, Flower Arranging and Bar Tending, Jai is highly qualified for her role. During her career she has worked on board 30m M/Y INSPIRATION, 52m M/Y RADIANT and 72m M/Y REVERIE. Outside of work Jai loves playing/watching sport and also has a keen interest in travel and photography. Jai holds an Open Water Diver certificate and is a Master Personal Trainer.

Bosun – Charles Sutherland
British. Charles studied Computer Technology at College and holds a qualification in Diesel Engine Maintenance and an RYA/MCA Dayskipper certificate. Throughout his career he has done a lot of travelling and has tried out several roles before realising that the world of yachting was for him. At the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix, Charles took on day work on board SILVER DREAM before being hired to work for the yacht full time. Since then he has proven to be a great asset to the team on board. Charles enjoys reading, keeping fit, paintballing, go-karting and bowling in his free time and speaks some French.

Deckhand – Fletcher George Sunde
New Zealand. In 2009 Fletcher graduated from The University of Auckland with a degree in Marine Biology. Having grown up by the sea in New Zealand, Fletcher spent much of his youth on sailing boats. Fletcher joins SILVER DREAM having recently served on board the 70m M/Y BOADICEA where he learnt to work to tight deadlines and as part of a large team. In his spare time, he likes writing poetry, reading, listening to music, sports, whale diving and flax weaving. Fletcher speaks fluent French, Spanish, Italian and English. He also has qualifications as a Fishing Instructor and has taken a Baleen Whale Free Diving course.

The Master cabin has a double bed, bath/tub, shower and toilet. 2 Guest cabins have a double bed, shower and toilet. 2 Guest cabins have a twin bed, shower and toilet. SILVER DREAM is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
