Southern Cross is a 33.4 Meters (109.6 Feet) sailing yacht built in 1962 by Yarrow & Co. and designed by W. McPherson Campbell. Originally built for a British Gentleman, she has been since 1962 owned by some well-known celebrities.
Southern Cross is Bermuda rig and was the biggest steel auxiliary ketch built in Scotland for many years. The yacht was awarded the Lloyd's Register "Yacht of the Year" Trophy for the best design and construction in 1962 beating 86 competing yachts.
She is based in Barcelona and has a full Spanish Charter License and is available for charter in Spanish Waters and the Western Mediterranean. She is also licensed to day cruise with up to 65 guests in Spanish Waters. She is able to accommodate up to 11 guests in 5 double cabins with en suite bathrooms. The Captain's cabin (single cabin) on the cabin deck can be used if required for a further 11th guest.
Southern Cross has a large main upper saloon and a further internal seating area with bar leading to the aft deck. There is also formal dining for 10 guests. She also has a large al fresco dining table on the aft deck which can seat up to 14 guests..
The upper sun deck provides ample space for sun bathing and relaxing and close by on the foredeck is a Spa Pool/Jacuzzi, great to relax in either at anchor or underway.
She has a crew of 5 most of whom have been with Southern Cross for many years and an outstanding well known chef 'Albert' who will be happy to prepared cuisine to guests exacting standards.
