For fifteen years, Miranda and David have been taking your sailing vacations in the Caribbean seriously, and now believe they are starting to get the knack of it! Capt'n Dave, Miranda and their crew of two, offer a very tidy show for you onboard TABOO. They know what you want to see and Miranda knows what you want to eat. Your food information sheets are very carefully studied, and every detail is covered. Her past experience in designing menus and buying food for large Vancouver hotels may help to explain why 85% of the charter guests return again and again... quality in a tasty cuisine.
David, with 20 years experience in the 'Rock 'n' Roll' industry in London and New York, has an ear for almost any conversation, and can tell a few tales himself. With his many Atlantic crossings and sailing trips all around New Zealand, England, and the Channel Islands, not to mention 15 years of sailing in the Caribbean, you are assured total safety and confidence aboard TABOO.
With David at the helm you can relax. His only qualification...experience! Miranda and David's last yacht, "Whakatane", was one of the most successful charter yachts in the Caribbean. Let's face it!, their old yacht "Whakatane" bought their new yacht TABOO!...now that say's something, doesn't it? THE CREW The crew (including David & Miranda) are all non-smokers and are onboard to help you in every aspect of your sailing vacation aboard TABOO.
They are very friendly and will offer activities such as skiing, tubing, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, and hiking. As you sail past different islands, they will point out sites of interest. The great thing about chartering an "owner operated" yacht is that great service and a fantastic time on your vacation is assured. The Crew wants you to return and sail on TABOO again, and recommend TABOO to your friends. Your safety is a primary concern of the crew, who are very experienced sailors on large Maxi's like TABOO. Under sail, you will see them handle all the deck equipment with the greatest of ease, while still being very sensitive to your needs...and will welcome any offers of sailing participation from you. They never say "NO".

Our first yacht was called Whakatane..60' long, but we didn't need crew for her. When we built TABOO, she definitely need crew because of her size. Some Stewardesses really shine, and they are friends forever for us. We go to Vancouver once a year, and we all meet and have lunch together. The year 1999, & 2001 we had Dani Brown. A beautiful blonde girl from Vancouver. She was such great crew. Dani was with us a full two years. Then there was Felicity Buskard for 2005. She was beautiful and fun loving. Travers and her were never apart. Felicity was great in the galley and on deck..What a score she was! Then in 2006 we had Sarah Racine. From Vancouver as well. Sarah was alive, always smiling and excellent crew. She was exactly what we wanted for 2006. She looked so cute and the guests loved her. But then...these three were all loved by the guests...
