Captain: Christopher Harding
Nationality: British
Date of Birth: 17th May 1969
Chris has been working on boats since 1991. Before joining the yachting industry he studied electronics, marine communications and radar in Plymouth, England, after which he went to work in Stockholm for three years for a company producing electronic motor drive systems. For the last 20 years, as well as continuous chartering throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean, he has also completed two circumnavigations on sailing boats. He joined Talila as Captain in March 2009 and now lives in the South of France with his family. In his spare time he enjoys paragliding and kitesurfing.


First Mate: Stephen Crawford
Nationality: British
Date of Birth: 27th September 1983
For 15 years Steve lived within a small tidal estuary in the South-West of England. During this time he became very experienced with boats from small sailing dinghies and powerboats/RIBS to larger sailing yachts and motor craft. A keen sailing enthusiast, he is also a Water-ski & Wakeboard Instructor. Having graduated in Business in 2007 this is now his 3rd season working on Talila. In his spare time he enjoys snowboarding, skydiving and the great outdoors.


Chef: Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen
Nationality: South African
Date of Birth: 14th August 1982
After obtaining his degrees in Culinary Arts and Applied Design, specialising in pātisserie, Jan joined acclaimed fashion magazine ELLE as food editor in both South Africa and Paris. Following this he worked at Champagne Piaff in Epernay as executive Chef for 18 months before joining Talila and delighting guests with his Modern Contemporary Cuisine. In his spare time he is a keen photographer and graphic designer.


Stewardess: Katie Howson
Nationality: British
Date of Birth: 20th July 1985
Following university and some time in London, Katie decided to put her hospitality experience and love of the ocean to use and travelled down to the yachting capital of Antibes. Since then she has not looked back and is happy to have joined Talila as stewardess for her third season in the industry. Katie is also a passionate scuba diver and enjoys snow skiing in the winter months.

TALILA Accommodations

TALILA can accommodate 10 guests in 4 cabins. The Master cabin has a king size bed, bath/tub, shower and toilet. 2 Guest cabins have a twin bed, a pullman, shower and toilet. A VIP cabin has a queen size bed, shower and toilet. TALILA is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
