THREE MOONS Crew Profile

Captain Randy and Shelly Tucker are a congenial, fun loving, service oriented sailing couple who've cruised and explored the Virgins for 15 years. After selling their successful businesses in Tennessee, both are now free to pursue their dream of entertaining sailing guests in the Virgin Islands. They love working together as a team, taking you to all the perfect places for secluded snorkeling, sunbathing, water sports and relaxed dining.
Randy, a meticulous builder specializing in custom and historic Civil war era homes, takes great pride in the care of Three Moons, their comfortable 72' Irwin ketch. He currently holds a 100 Ton Master's Captains License. He is knowledgeable of the islands and welcomes you in planning an itinerary of wonderful experiences you won't forget. You will be surprised by his extensive collection of music and videos/DVDs. He has something to fit everyone's moods, tastes, or interests.
Shelly is a passionate and talented chef. Born into a family of genuine culinary artists, she's had many recipes published by popular demand. You'll delight in her new and delicious dishes each day from Three Moon's well equipped galley. Besides her passion for cooking, Shelly owned an award-winning salon in exclusive Franklin Tennessee for 13 years and is a Master Nail Technician. She conceived Three Moons Sea Spa Cruises to pamper you with manicures, pedicures, facials and aromatherapy massage. Three Moons has been honored with 10 VICL Culinary Competition Awards. The Three Moons Island Cookbook is a joint effort between Randy & Shelly that is now in its second printing. You will want to purchase one while you are aboard!
The couple has spent time sailing in Tahiti and the Peloponnesian coastline of Greece. Their zeal for travel and adventure has led them to many fun spots in Europe as well as the United States. Randy and Shelly are both enthusiastic snorkelers as well as certified divers. They will be happy to arrange rendezvous dives at the best locations for their scuba diving guests.
Katy Bednar, originally from Marblehead, Massachusetts, always had a love for the ocean. After attaining a major in Biology in 2005, she took a sailing trip down to the Virgin Islands and the rest was history. Her interests at Providence College, RI were Pre-Med. Her minor was in Marine Biology, making her the perfect snorkel partner! She's enthusiastic about her previous Tropical Biology field work in Belize and past travels in Spanish speaking countries. Not only was she a star member of the Providence College Varsity Women's Swimming & Diving Team, but she also won honors in tennis. You'll find her an experienced First Mate ready for adventure.
