TILLY MINT Main Photo

Tilly Mint is a  handcrafted 67ft sailboat built in England by Discovery Yachts – a boatyard renowned for innovative and award winning sailboats.  She was designed by the most prominent naval architect of this century, Ron Holland, and launched in 2009.  A major re-fit was completed in 2014.

Tilly Mint sleeps 7 in 3 cabins.

TILLY MINT's spacious ensuite master cabin is aft with more than 6’6” headroom.  It has a Queen walk-around bed, a large TV and DVD player, IPOD connection, A/C, a dressing table and stool.  The  bathroom features a glass shower enclosure with power shower, electric head and a beautiful cherry vanity.

Two guest cabins are located forward:

The walk-around queen cabin has a large TV, DVD and IPOD connection.
The door to this queen cabin can be moved to make the luxury bathroom either en suite, or shared with the portside cabin.

The second forward cabin, with a large double lower and a single Pullman bunk, is ideal for a couple or 2 children.  It has A/C, a small TV and DVD player and an IPOD connection.  Three people can share this cabin if required.

The crew cabin is forward to starboard and shares the starboard head and shower with the portside guest cabin when the forward queen cabin is en suite.

Captain Andrew Kaiser/Chef Arwyn Kaiser

Andrew and his wife Arwyn are the Captain/Chef team aboard Tilly Mint. They have worked on many vessels, both together and separately in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the East Coast, most recently on a 124ft private sailing ketch in the Mediterranean. They are a young and dynamic couple with a passion for sailing and water sports to complement their first-rate hospitality service.

Andrew
Andrew is a native Texan who began sailing as a young boy, purchasing his first boat at the age of 13. At the University of Texas, he sailed with the U.S. Navy ROTC, University Sailing Team and University Sailing Club while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. After university Andrew chose to pursue sailing professionally and has worked as Mate and/or Engineer aboard several sailing vessels. These have included traditional square-rigged ships to modern super yachts on the New England coast and the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas. He earned and currently holds a US Coast Guard 100 GT Near Coastal License, a Royal Yachting Association Yachtmaster Offshore of 200 GT, as well as numerous auxiliary qualifications. These include an Advanced Open Water Diving License, First Aid + CPR certification and a Radar Observer’s Unlimited License.  When he is not sailing, he enjoys scuba diving, motorcycle riding and hiking.

Arwyn
Arwyn proudly hails from the Gulf Coast in Houston,Texas. Her love of sailing began as a teen and more seriously at university while she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Mass Communication. After graduation she took her first professional sailing position as mate/cook aboard a 74 foot square rigged vessel. Since then she has worked on an array of sailing vessels. Most recently, she served aboard a 124 foot sailing ketch as Chief Stewardess. Having the gift of hospitality, Arwyn is committed to perfecting her culinary talent.  She has studied formally at the Ashburton School of Cookery in England and is known back home in Texas for her scratch-made southern style dishes. In her spare time, Arwyn enjoys diving, hiking and traveling.

TILLY MINT Testimonials

"We stayed on Tilly Mint for a week in August and had a fantastic holiday. The boat was luxurious and well equipped and Andrew and Arwyn as skipper and cook looked after our every need. The food was delicious and Arwyn put a lot of effort into cooking for us and our young children. Andrew is very knowledgable and experienced with the boat and was a pleasure to chat to while we sailed. We would thoroughly recommend both Tilly Mint and Andrew and Arwyn and we hope to return soon. - J. Bax"

Mallorca, August 2014

We had a truly lovely holiday with Capt. Andrew and Chef Arwyn. TILLY MINT is a gorgeous and well-equipped yacht, Arwyn's cooking is VERY GOOD - we especially enjoyed her dishes with a 'hint of the South' (she's from Texas), and Andrew is a confidence-inspiring skipper who is also great fun to be with. Overall 10 out of 10!

Aeolian Islands, August 2014

"We spent a week sailing with Andrew and Arwyn around the Aeolian Islands. They are an outstanding crew. They combine  great professionalism and competence in sailing and managing the yacht together with a very friendly and amusing approach to their guests. We enjoyed their company."
