Captain: Captain Rene is 58 years old, German and Single. He has more than 20 years experience in the Mediterranean and holds a German licence. He has been captain of Timanfaya for 10 years. With his calm nature and his knowledge of the yacht and the complete cruising areas he is the perfect Captain for enjoyable cruising in luxury style. He will be happy to show the beauty of the Greek and Turkish waters, with all the famous and hidden places, according to the wishes of the guest. He speaks German and English. Chef: Kadir Bacak, 30 years old from the peninsula of Datca, born next to the famous ancient place of Knidos. His family is since generations connected to the sea and a typical open minded and warm-hearted Aegean man with a nearly inexhaustibility knowledge of the Aegean Sea. His passion is boating and cooking, since he was a young child and right now he is already more than 10 years working on several well-named charter yachts in the East Mediterranean. His brain has nearly no limit in the fantasy full creating of delicious meals and our guests are always pleasant surprised about the rich variations of the Mediterranean “cuisine”, performed by Kadir. Our charter guest from May 2004, would like to take him back home to Canada, to open an East Mediterranean Restaurant—but fortunately—he loves the Aegean Sea and of course his home: TIMANFAYA. Languages: Turkish and English. Chief-steward: Jason (Chun Han Lim), 25 years old, his origin is Chinese and he grows up and is living in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). His always smiling face and the restrained behave was very welcome by our guest in the first season he was on board of TIMANFAYA. There is nearly nothing, which he is not quitting with a smiling “for sure” and an immediate taking care of it. His memory is computerized, he never forgets about your special wishes and you can be sure he will arrange it for you. With him we have a real “Asian pearl” on board.
