TONINA Crew Profile
PETER KIRKMAN AND KAREN LYE
TONINA is owned and operated by English couple Pete and Karen who share a common love of the sea and have sailed and dived together in many places around the world.
Pete started sailing as a boy on his father’s boats and has since owned several of his own. As a qualified Yacht Master he has always been at home on the sea and introduced Karen to sailing, who is now a qualified Day Skipper. Karen has been a qualified diver for over 10 years and Pete is now hooked on diving and both are PADI rescue divers.
Pete and Karen decided several years ago to swap their successful careers in Information Technology for a more fitting lifestyle that allowed them to fully enjoy their passion for sailing, diving and Caribbean life. Owning and operating a crewed charter yacht became the obvious way to make this change happen and earlier this year they took delivery of TONINA. They have now completed their first charter season successfully, with rave reviews from guests.
Your guides will encourage you to get the most out of your stay; the perfect itinerary, those hidden anchorages, stimulating activities with plenty of time left to relax at the end of the day with cocktails, fine dining and good company.

This was our second charter on Tonina.....and again, we were extremely happy with Karen and Peter. We really love them, and their boat. The food was extraordinary, and we did have some strange requests this trip. They went out of their way to accomodate us. The boat is kept in impeccable shape, and we did everything we wanted to do. They are both very easy to be with, and we would not consider chartering a different boat if we sail again in the future. As long as Tonina is around, they are the only boat we would charter. Lots of great food, laughter, and great times. The dolphins swam with us one afternoon, and we absolutely loved the entire trip. Thanks Karen and Peter!!!

1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
yes; very much so. They went above and beyond to make sure my 17 year old son was comfortable.
2. Was the yacht comfortable and clean?
Yes. It was spotless. Everyday they kept it clean and tidy.
3. Was the yacht well ventilated?
Yes.
4. Was the food good and well presented?
Always. Karen was an excellent cook and spoiled both my husband and son! The meals were better on the boat than at the resturants!
5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Yes. Always very interesting and fun.
6. Could we have helped you further in any way?
No. Everything was very well organized.

8. Additional comments on your charter?
Karen and Peter were very gracious and we had so much fun. This was the best vacation I have ever been on. So many great memories! Indeed a trip of a lifetime. Always felt safe and in good hands!
