Top Five epitomizes luxury and attention to detail throughout. Her aft deck provides shaded comfort for relaxing, an informal meal or simply enjoying the surroundings.
As you enter the main salon, you immediately note her large windows that provide unobstructed views and a bright open feeling ideal for entertaining guests, enjoying an intimate conversation, or watching TV or a movie. The main salon flows with ease into a spacious well appointed dining salon with ample seating for 12, perfect for those wishing to dine in style.
Forward on the main deck, is the master suite, accessed from the main deck foyer, you pass through your private study and into the full-beam stateroom with his and her baths. Her spacious bath features a marble Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. There is a king-sized bed, large walk-in his and hers wardrobes and entertainment center.
On the lower deck, there are five luxurious staterooms. The full beam VIP stateroom features a large bath complete with tub. There are two equal queen-size staterooms; two double staterooms forward are each fitted with a full size and a twin berth as well as a Pullman, making them ideal family cabins. All staterooms have en-suite baths and entertainment centers.
Whether you arrive at the bridge deck via the exquisite curved staircase, or use her 4-deck elevator located off the foyer, the feeling of understated elegance and comfort is the same, complete with large screen entertainment center, a cozy sunken bar and ample seating. Al fresco dining is at its best on the aft bridge deck. This spacious private area accommodates 12 guests.
The sun deck is designed as an entertainers dream, including a spa pool surrounded by sun beds and teak chairs. The shaded settee curves around a cocktail table and the cocktail bar has seating for five. The expansive open space of the sun deck is perfect for an afternoon or evening party.

TOP FIVE Crew Profile
CAPTAIN: JOHANNES BUYS South African, Johannes Buys has been in the industry since 1996. His knowledge of electricity, mechanics, navigation, as well as a clear understanding of good seamanship, keeps “TOP FIVE” safe and sound. The safety of everybody aboard is paramount to Johannes who has been a charter and private captain since 2001. He holds a Master Y4 3000 GT MCA Captains license and a Y3 Chief engineers license and Johannes is a licensed Dive master (PADI) and loves water sports including wakeboarding. He has developed extensive cruising knowledge of the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Bahamas and the United States’ Coastal waters and enjoys the challenges of taking “TOP FIVE” and her guests to imaginative and exotic locations. Johannes’ enthusiasm and attention to the needs of his guests will ensure that their stay aboard “TOP FIVE” will be unforgettable! |
FIRST MATE: HENTIE LOMBARD Hentie Lombard was born in a little town in South Africa called White River but spent his childhood growing up in the world famous Kruger National Park. Hentie holds a 200 ton Yachtmaster Offshore license, Advanced Fire Fighting, Advanced Sea Survival and GMDSS license. He loves every aspect of yachting and enjoys taking guest out on tender rides and water sports including diving and wakeboarding. As a dedicated member of the crew, Hentie strives to make sure that everybody’s stay onboard “TOP FIVE” will be a safe and memorable one. He is an avid photographer and the computer brain on board. |
CHIEF ENGINEER: HEIN SCHRAGE Hein is originally from Hartswater in the country side of South Africa. Growing up on a farm opened up his allure to the outdoor lifestyle. Growing up Hein achieved Provincial Colors in Bare-Foot Water Ski. While water skiing and fishing took up much of Hein’s free time, it’s in after school programs that the interest in how things work mechanically and physically began to take center stage. With that wonder of how things work and are put together (and taken apart), Hein went on to complete his first Mechanical Engineering course while still in grade school. Hein decided to join the yachting industry in 2004. Now with 8 years’ experience Hein is working onboard “TOP FIVE”. Hein has cruised many of the Caribbean Islands, Mediterranean, US Coast and the Bahamas. When not travelling with the yacht and taking care of guests needs, Hein’s hobbies include golf, diving, and fishing. With Hein’s excellent engineering skills, professional yet pleasant personality, and experience in all types of water activities, he adds much to an already stellar crew! |
CHEF: BRADLEY DAVID At a young age Bradley found his passion for the culinary arts. Starting in the restaurant industry at the age of 15 Bradley moved to Ottawa, Canada when he was 19 and continued to fine-tune his culinary skills. After spending 12 years in the restaurant industry Bradley enrolled in the "Culinary Skills Chef Training" program at Algonquin College. Chef Bradley moved to Florida to pursue his new career as a yacht chef. Since September 2008 Bradley has been a successful charter Chef on board yachts in the Bahamas, Caribbean, New England coast and Florida. Bradley enjoys cooking French, Italian, Mexican, Greek, Asian, Jewish, Diabetic, low fat, Vegetarian and North American cuisine. Chef Bradley has a great ability to make all his guests feel welcome in his galley with his passion for food and his enthusiastic personality. Please feel free for any special request you might have for him, as he will be more than happy to make that for you. |
CHIEF STEWARDESS: CARLA SCHRAGE Carla was born and raised in a town called Potchefstroom, in South Africa. Carla has an Honors Degree in Corporate Communication that she completed at the North West University. Before Carla joined the yachting industry she was the co-owner of an events planning and marketing company in South Africa for 4 years. Carla was introduced to the yachting industry by her husband and after working on M/Y Chosen One and M/Y Never Enough, they joined M/Y Top Five. Carla was especially excited to start this unique experience because of the special way of travelling and meeting interesting people. Carla has a real passion for entertaining guests. When there is any time off, Carla enjoys reading and cooking. |
BOSUN: KORSTEN VAN SCHALKWYK Korsten is proudly South African from the country’s capital Pretoria where he majored in Project Management at the local university. He enjoyed a three-year work experience as a Project Manager for HealthNicon. His love for the outdoors and travel lead him to Durban where he successfully completed the required and internationally recognized courses for the yachting industry. Korsten now holds a Yachtmaster Offshore 200 ton license and a PADI Open Water Dive Certificate. Korsten is a kind, outgoing and friendly soul who enjoys all water activities. He takes his chosen career very seriously and thus his professionalism is unquestionable. |
SECOND STEWARDESS: HANNAH BEARD Hannah was born and raised in the outskirts of London in the town of Surrey. Growing up Hannah and her twin sister Lara were lucky enough to have a father that loved to sail. Hannah quickly realized her love for not only the ocean but for adventure and travel. After attending Oxford Brookes University and receiving her degree in communications, media and culture she began her career in yachting. Throughout the past several years Hannah has enjoyed her time onboard boats as well backpacking and volunteering for several charities. |
THIRD STEWARDESS: NICOLE VASAK Nicole was born and raised in New York. Nicole graduated from Wells College with a BA in Environmental Science in 2005. Shortly after graduation she served as an Environmental Education Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize, where she organized and implemented community events, taught marine conservation, and fundraised for Hol Chan Marine Reserve as well the NGO, Green Reef. Upon completion of her Peace Corps service in 2007, Nicole became employed by the commercial fishing industry as a Fisheries Observer for marine resource management programs in Hawaii, Massachusetts, and the international waters of the West Pacific. After three years of living and working at sea, Nicole decided to follow through with fulfilling another dream of hers by going back to school to pursue a career in massage therapy, with the intention of using it in the yachting industry. She graduated with her license from the Center of Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in November 2011. Nicole feels most at home on the ocean, and will make all guests stay on board memorable. |
DECKHAND/2ND ENGINEER: CYLE STEYN Cyle was born in South Africa, Pretoria. Cyles love for the ocean and boats came when he moved to Cape Town after school. In his free time while he was working for an events planning company, Eyehethu, that is well known for hosting major shows all around South Africa, Cyle took his spare time to sail, dive and surf all around the coast of South Africa. He found that the yachting industry will be the perfect career for him. He completed the Yacht Master Offshore 200 Ton license, PADI Advance Diver certificate and currently holds an AEC certificate to improve his knowledge and skills in Engineering. Cyle gets along with all different types of people and is an absolute pleasure to have around. |
