
Andrew Law – Captain
Born on the east coast of Australia, Andrew began sailing at a young age, and through the years has raced and sailed around much of the Australian coast as well as most of the oceans of the world. After completing a 5year circumnavigation on his family’s 53 ft steel ketch “Kittiwake”, Andrew has pursued a commercial career in yachting. During the last 14 years Andrew has captained a number of motor and sailing yachts, chartering in, and exploring all the major oceans of the globe. Andrew brings his wide experience to the fine charter vessel “Touch” and is looking forward to the upcoming seasons working with the current, longstanding, happy and professional crew of the yacht. The ocean has not only provided Andrew with a challenging career, it has also provided and instilled in him a love of other aquatic pursuits including diving, fishing and surfing. When he feels the need for some solid ground under his feet, a game of golf or some leisurely mountain biking provide welcome diversions from the “Big Blue”.
Jared Ferrall – Chef
Jared grew up in Canada before moving to England where he discovered his passion for food and cooking. He started his career at 16 and after working for a few years in restaurants he found himself back in Canada working as a chalet host in Whistler. Jared moved to Vancouver where he went to culinary school and began his formal apprenticeship at some of the provinces best restaurants and hotels. He then when to Tahiti cooking on an exclusive cruise ship before moving to Tokyo with his fiancé where he worked as a Chef de Parti for both Alain Ducasse and Gordon Ramsay as well as a Sous Chef for Luke Mangan. Jared will be your private chef aboard “Touch” and using the finest produce available; he will strive to make your stay a gastronomic experience to remember. He specializes in Modern European, Classic French, Japanese and Fusion.
Jet (Juliette) Marshall – Chief Stewardess
Juliette or “Jet” as we like to call her is the Chief Stewardess onboard. She hails from Australia, growing up on the West Australian beaches of Perth. From an early age she traveled throughout Australia with her parents and siblings and hasn’t stopped since. Trekking Peru to Macchu Picchu, discovering the wonders of China and climbing the Great Wall, surfing in Indonesia, rafting in Costa Rica and backpacking in New Zealand.
Jet has an extensive background in hospitality working in many high profile restaurants in both Perth and Melbourne. She is also a “Bona-fide” Black Jack, Roulette and Baccarat dealer working in Casino’s in Australia and on cruise ships. With nearly 5 years experience in the yachting industry on a number of large yachts she looks forward to providing the highest standards in service and quality FUN onboard!
Emma Mildon – 2nd Stewardess
Emma is from New Zealand but has spent a lot of her time abroad, studying a Bachelors Degree in Toronto Canada - and traveling around Europe, Asia and Arab lands. Using her Communications Degree Emma went on to work in the Pubic Relations sector managing a variety of commercial developers, construction and property related clients, specializing in crisis management. On the side she also was a freelance columnist, writing for a teenage girls magazine, 247girl.
Emma is a water baby and enjoys surfing, diving and wind surfing so packed up her corporate suitcase and put down her pen to join the Super Yacht industry so she could live and work on the water. She has been based in the Mediterranean ever since working on Motor Yachts, and is looking forward to exploring the Caribbean seas with the guests that join her on M/Y Touch this summer.
Michael Karpys – Engineer
Born in Victoria Australia, Michael grew up in a small country town near the coast; this is where he discovered a passion for the sea and an interest in exploring the world. Michael joined the Royal Australia Navy as a Marine technician where he spent 7 years to obtain both Engineering trades in Electrical and Mechanical. The following 10 years he worked on large motor yachts up to 126meters as third and second engineer. Michael has also been involved in vessel build projects in which he acted as build engineer, test pilot and operator for a private submarine. Michael is also a qualified Dive Master, Dive Chamber Operator, Gas Blender and PLC technician. Michael’s other interests include scuba diving, skydiving, surfing and wake boarding. Michael is here to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable stay onboard.
Adam Shelton – First Officer
Adam is the First Officer aboard M/Y Touch and hails from a small country town called Murgon situated in South East Queensland, Australia. He grew up on his family’s pig and cattle property and was also heavily involved in many sports such as swimming, squash, tennis, cricket, rugby league and rugby away from farming life. He also enjoyed fishing with his father as a boy and this is where his love for boating and the ocean started. In 1999, he graduated from High School and moved to Brisbane where he completed a Diploma of Justice. A few jobs later and he had himself enough money saved to go traveling and see the world. He based himself in England, working numerous jobs and continuing to play rugby at the same time. He got to visit many European countries in his time abroad, but running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain and the Munich Beer fest were his two favorite moments.
In 2006 he came across yachting while visiting family in the South of France and this is where his yachting career started. Since this time he has completed many courses and put in lots of study hours to get to his Chief Mates License. He is also a certified open water diver. Adam hopes to make your stay aboard Touch a wonderful experience, relaxing, fun and one you will never forget.
Nick Silich – Deckhand
Nick is from New Zealand and is keen sportsmen, enjoying surfing, fishing and diving - not to mention rugby! His skills as a Carpenter make him double as a Deckhand and M/Y Touch's resident handyman.
Nick is also a keen traveler, backpacking through Europe, Asia and Arab lands which brought him to the Mediterranean and into the Super Yachting industry. Since he has been working on Motor Yachts through the French Rivera, Italy, Spain, Corsica and Sardinia. He is looking forward to exploring Caribbean waters with the guests who come onboard MY Touch this summer.
