CAPTAIN: KIMON VELLOS Although Greek by birth, Captain Kimon is a citizen of the world... Born in Athens in 1945, he completed his basic and marine studies in Greece and the U.K. and then started his career at sea. On the job since 1974, Captain Kimon proudly delcares he's practically sailed everywhere in the world! Kimon is experienced on almost all types of ships and yachts, holds all necessary certificates and diplomas and still attends all relevant seminars every year. Happy father of three and grandfather of two girls, Captain Kimon enjoys sailing, diving, fishing and making air-fix mdoesl (ships, aircraft). He's been onboard "Troia" since she was launched 3 years ago and looks forward to crossing the Atlantic with her. ENGINEER: VASSILLS TSANTES Vassills was born in 1974. He holds an Hellenic Ministry of Merchant Marine approved engineering diploma and all certificates related to fire fighting, first aid and rescue at sea courses. At a relatively young age, he already has more than 10 years of experience, as he's worked his way up from apprentice to engineer since 1993. Vassills speaks English and loves to drive speed boats. STEWARD: YANNIS MITIKAS Our steward was born on the island of Ikaria in the Dodecaneese Sea in 1948 and started his career early, at the age of 18. He got his steward certificate at the age of 24 and has extensive experience on first class cruise ships and yachts, such as the Americanlis, the Atlantis, Stella Solaris and the Azur, to name a few. Yannis has attended fire fighting, first aid and rescue courses at the National Marine Academy, speak English and Italian and will attend to your every need with a smile! CHEF: AMYLIANA GOUGA Even though she holds a university degree in Hotel Management and Administration, Amyliana decided that what she really likes to do is cook! She's an expert in Greek and International cuisine and she will prepare meals tailor-made to your preferences. Other than cooking, Amyliana enjoys diving (holds a PADI certificate) water skiing and playing chees. She is fluent in English and French. DECKHAND:  CHRISTOPHER BENETATOS
Christopher was born in 1966.  He holds a Captain class B certificate and has been sailing on  charter yachts since 1995.  Christopher speaks English well, holds all the necessary salvage at sea and fire fighting certificates and he’ll always be happy to assist Troia’s guests with the tender and sea toys.
