Captain – Shreda
Damien Duke, nicknamed Shreda from an early age due to a ‘few’ spinnakers being destroyed while racing, is well known in yachting circles for his positive, can-do, “nothing is too much trouble” attitude. Shreda left his native Australia at an early age and already has over 20 years of professional yachting experience, split between high-end luxury yachts and top-level yacht racing. He has logged over 250,000 nautical miles and his qualifications include a 3000 ton Master’s Ticket. He has worked aboard 8 cruising yachts over 100 feet in many of the world’s top cruising areas and his racing experience includes circumnavigating in the Volvo Ocean Race and winning the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. His experience ensures that the guests enjoy sailing the yacht to its maximum potential while feeling safe and secure onboard.
Shreda fully appreciates the requirements and expectations of guests, and strives to fulfill any requests. He believes that a happy crew makes for a great atmosphere onboard and he enjoys leading his team while they strive for perfection in every task undertaken. He knows the crew’s job goes beyond the smooth and safe running of the vessel and the importance of ensuring that guests have a truly enjoyable time while aboard Twilight.
Chef - Tehura Ellis
Tehura has had a passion for food since an early age. Her father instructed her on a holiday to France: ‘you must try everything and if you don't like it, you don't have to eat it, but you must try it’. It was logic that Tehura could not argue with so she did indeed try all of the delicacies that were presented to her. This gastronomic exploration paved the way for her life long obsession with food. Tehura has now being cooking professionally on yachts for over 5 years and in her down time she has trained in Jerusalem after a wealthy yacht owner with similar passions for food enticed her to work under his favourite chef from his home town. She has also worked with Michelin star trained chefs in London where she refined her skills even further. With a Mexican mother some of Tehura’s favourite flavours have a strong latino influence but she also excels in preparing Mediterranean and Asian cuisine which means that no matter how long you spend onboard, the meals will be varied and exciting. Tehura is a curious chef and loves to to discuss food with everyone and anyone that will listen. She is always keen to be led by our guests to ensure that meals times are another highlight of their time onboard. Catering for dietary requirements is no problem for this cool, calm and relaxed chef who always sees the fun side life.
Stewardess – Fredrika
Fredrika is from Finland and while growing up she developed a passion for travelling. She was always focused on her study of Economics but once she had completed her studies she wanted to travel and see the world. Having worked in hospitality it was a natural progression to move in to a career of crewing a super yacht. Fredrika’s skills working in luxury chalets plus as a barista, coupled with her bubbly and enthusiastic personality make her an ideal team member aboard Twilight.
2nd Stewardess - Erin Hayes
Engineer – Andy Hackett
Twilight offers accommodation for eights guests in four luxurious en-suite cabins. The full width master stateroom is complete with a king size bed, sofa, large viewing ports two full length closets and a writing desk. The en-suite bathroom has a large shower and toilet equipped with his and her sinks.
There are two double cabins with queen size beds which may also be divided on request to make singles, they are equipped with sofas, ample closet space and private ensuite bathrooms. The fourth guest cabin offers two full singles and a ensuite bathroom and shower.
