Yachmaster Offshore commercial (RYA), STCW95

Nathan grew up on the water, skiing and wakeboarding from an early age.

He and Laura met in 2008, in their hometown in the South West of the UK where they both grew up, and 2 years later they married.

They then decided to embark on a sailing career and worked on many catamarans such as a Fountaine Pajot 59’, and a Leopard 5800 with up to 10 guests onboard. Together they have completed over 125 luxury charters since 2011.

Nathan is an experienced captain with a warm and approachable personality. Working on charter yachts since December 2010, he has logged over more than 15,000 sea miles.

He has an eye for detail and puts a lot of care into keeping the yacht spotless. His Electrical diploma enables him to maintain technical aspects onboard.

Hostess-Chef: Laura KURTON (36)

EMBARKING NEXT JUNE 2017:

US visa B1/B2

Yachmaster Offshore commercial (RYA), STCW95

Laura is a talented chef and enjoys all aspects of cooking including catering for dietary needs. She has expanded her cooking repertoire by gaining experience through various courses at the prestigious Ashburton School of Cookery in the UK and obtaining her Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification. She is very versatile, and can make a great cocktail as well as help Nathan with sailing Twin.

Always smiling and happy, she loves to sing and dance and you may catch her doing both of these whilst in her favorite place, the galley!

She is also a qualified captain and has sailed since she was a child.

Laura and Nathan have always directed much energy to being the best crew for their guests. With their professional mix of easy-going and high-end service, they won the award of “crew of the year” in 2013 at Trade Winds Cruise Club.

Hostess-Deckhand: Laura MITCHELL (33)

Embarking next June:

STCW 95 - ACCA & CTA qualifications

Language spoken: English

Laura has known captain Nathan and chef Laura for many years and is from the same home town in the South West of England. They are very good friends and have spent much time together during their time off, and have even holidayed together on skiing and sailing trips.

Laura decided to take the opportunity to work in the sailing industry as a stewardess as she enjoys travelling, experiencing new things and meeting new people. Her career in the UK tax industry did not provide this and she felt it was time for a change!

Laura is friendly, bubbly, likes to please, and has a good understanding of other people’s needs. She has a keen eye for detail and will make sure all your needs are met; she is hugely conscientious and creative and loves making great cocktails for her guests. Cleanliness is one of her attributes along with her happy and energetic nature.

Laura looks forward to providing you with a friendly, caring and high level of service during your stay.

Guests's comment from charter March 23-30, 2016 St Thomas-St Thomas:

1. The trip was seamless from beginning to end from the time the crew met them at the airport until their departure. Everything went so smoothly.

2. Daniel knew the best times to be at certain spots and of course which anchorages and islands to go to. He was particularly good in planning the trip to the Baths for early morning before they got crowded.

3. All three of the crew were great with the kids. The kids loved them and didn’t want to go home. They have been asking if they can go back next year.

4. The food was tasty and fresh. At first the portions were a little small but as soon as Martina realized how much the kids ate, she adjusted the portions accordingly.

5. Everyone loved the video that the crew did and were amazed at how professional it was.

6. Crew were very professional yet very friendly and fun.

6. Everyone felt it was the best vacation they’d ever had.

7. They would definitely book TWIN again as long as Daniel and Martina and Joep were aboard. They are hoping to possibly charter her again next year.

Broker comment: Thank you for doing such a great job and making the guests vacation a huge success.

Broker's comment from Antigua boat show, last December 2015:

The food was excellent and it was interesting to see how the crew worked together to help the Chef throughout the meal. Portions might have been too generous but I know how crew want to impress on these occasions. I find it crucial to offer fresh and local food and the chef made a point to explain the origin of the seafood all the way through the lunch which was great.
