Sailing yacht Volterra is a modern classic sailing yacht designed to circumnavigate the world in comfort and style. While she has indeed traced a stern wake around the globe, she has also distinguished herself on the race course in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Atlantic. Her design is an achievement of collaboration between German Frers and John Alden, endowing her with fast, classically elegant lines. Her Palmer-Johnson pedigree guarantees a strong, seaworthy luxury yacht. Her comfortable and airy interior was designed by John Munford and executed in solid cherry wood. The large cockpit offers ample elbow room to an active racing crew as well as a comfortable space for owner and guests for a full service moonlight dinner.

Volterra accommodates up to six guests plus a crew of three. The master cabin midships offers two single beds, one extends to a full queen sized bed. The owner's cabin also offers a comfortable settee with a fold down work desk and a well appointed bath room and shower.  There is a port twin guest cabins, with adjoining bathroom and shower. This bathroom can be accessed from either the guest cabin or the companionway.  Two additional bunks are provided in the main salon, enclosed by a privacy curtain.

Crew has a separate heads and shower.

The master cabin has twin beds - one of the beds forms into a queen sized berth.

International multi-lingual crew of 3, all speak fluent English

Captain: Jean Claude Vau
Experience: sailing 30 years - charter 5 years.
Training: RYA Yachtmaster Offshore w/commercial endorsement
MCA Eng1

Jean-Claude is from an engineering background and after a successful career in high tech industry, he decided he would get back to his preferred activities: sailing boats and flying airplanes. For the past 10 years he has been involved in sailing/ racing classic yachts and managed the refit of S/Y Volterra while maintaining his flying skills. Amateur of good wines and creative cooking, of all sorts of music including classics, he likes to share his experience with his guests.

First Mate: Matthias Rauchmann
Matthias is from northeast Germany where he sailed around the Baltic and completed his shipwright and boat builder apprenticeship. He then relocated to the south of France to work on refitting, racing and cruising on board classic sailing yachts. He is fan of maritime history and likes to travel around the world hiking, biking, sailing.

Chef/Stewardess: Lily Box
Lily is a French native who has worked in the hospitality industry since finishing her studies in Nice.  The Mediterranean environment quickly drew her into the restaurant and yachting scene.  Lily takes great pride in preparing wonderful meals for her guests and seeing after their every wish.  Lily speaks fluent French, English and Italian.  She enjoys scuba diving, Mediterranean food practice, French wines, music, travel, graphic design and photography, diving, swimming and surfing.
