
Captain John Bruce, Scottish
With approximately 15 years experience in the yachting industry, John brings a wealth of knowledge to WATERCOLOURS. He has worked in yachting as captain, manager, engineer, and dive master, to name a few, ensuring a well-rounded approach to meeting your every need while onboard WATERCOLOURS.
His scuba diving career has taken John as far as being a safety diver in the IMAX movie “Ocean Men”, diving in excess of 200 feet, as well as being an accredited diver in the movie “Flipper”.
John enjoys golf, soccer, tennis, and of course, scuba diving.
Chef John Spooner, English
John Spooner is originally from Oxford, England, but the Bahamas is what he calls home. He lived in the South of France for 15 years while studying the art of French Classical and Italian cuisines. He has also completed 7-years in sushi training. Has been in the yachting industry for 15 years, and owns a bar in the Bahamas. John has traveled and worked extensively in Europe, including Croatia and 3 years in Denmark. John is capable of doing anything from catching and preparing your fish of the day, to cooking hamburgers on the grill, to formal French classical.

First Mate Tevis Thompson, American
Tevis attended school in Midlothian, Virginia, and started out his career in general construction. He owns and operates a contracting and fence company which also includes roofing of all types and home renovations. He joins Watercolours with over 10 years boating experience, including time spent on his grandfather’s 60 foot motor yacht. Tevis carries multiple talents in repairing certain plumbing and electrical items as well as 12 years of carpentry work.
Tevis is a team player, and an integral part of keeping Watercolours in pristine condition. He inspires everyone with his positive attitude and hard work.
