Chartering in the East Coast of North America, Florida and the Bahamas

Operating in the East Coast of North America, Florida and the Bahamas

Stunning, seaworthy, and swift, WILD KINGDOM offers guests so much to love. Thanks to an exceptionally pleasing layout, there are spaces just right for sharing special times with close friends or family, hosting a party, or unwinding in serene seclusion. Fun-seekers will love the full array of watersports toys—more than you might expect on a yacht this size—plus a large, luxurious tender perfect for sightseeing and fishing. And with four spacious and elegant staterooms, WILD KINGDOM accommodates eight guests in enviable style.

The main salon’s plush settees and soft cushions envelop guests in refined relaxation, while muted colors and fine woodwork enhance the atmosphere. Thanks to unusually wide, tinted windows, guests may enjoy broad views of the surrounding scenery while maintaining complete privacy. Sliding glass doors open from here to the aft deck, creating a delightful, al fresco extension to the salon. The aft deck’s banquette and table, plus bar with chairs and a TV, make this an especially popular gathering spot throughout the day, from breakfast in the fresh air to cocktails and casual dinners. On more formal evenings, the dining area at the forward end of the salon is the setting for opulent meals served by candlelight. Farther forward, yet another dining area adjacent to the galley is the spot for snacks, casual meals, and card games. It’s also a perfect place for kids to eat when parents prefer a quieter evening.

Up on the sundeck, guests have a choice of stretching out on the sunbeds, soaking in the Jacuzzi, or enjoying the shade beneath the hardtop. This elevated perch is an especially popular spot for surveying the sights when the yacht is underway. As soon as the day’s destination is reached, the crew can quickly lower the water toys overboard, creating even more room to relax. Up on the bow, a circular banquette invites conversation and offers a great view of the crew deploying the anchor or bringing the yacht alongside a dock.

A few steps down from the sundeck, the wheelhouse’s curved settee and table make a convenient place to read, look after a little business,or observe the skill with which the captain handles the boat.

All four of WILD KINGDOM’s guest staterooms are appointed with personal entertainment system and ensuite bathrooms enhanced with fine marble. French doors lead through a private foyer into the full-beam master, with king bed, desk, settee, large closet, and ample drawers. The suite’s his-and-her facilities are connected by a central shower. A queen stateroom and a twin stateroom are also located on this level. The VIP stateroom, on the main deck, has a private entrance and is a particularly peaceful sanctuary.

Crew Profile

Captain: Jonathan Wild

Jonathan Wild, better known as Jo, was born on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Jo's maritime career started at the young age of 11, crewing aboard the 108-foot square Topsail schooner, "Shenandoah". After three summer seasons aboard he transitioned to a local marina where he was introduced to motor yachts and quickly accelerated from fuel attendant to dock master. By implementing new docking procedures and slight modifications to the dock, Jo was able to turn a single linear pier into what is now the most prestigious and desirable location on Martha's Vineyard for luxury yachts. Whilst still a teenager, Jo assisted in many deliveries of various yachts through his connections at the marina, allowing him to gain sea time to obtain a captains license. At the age of 18, Jo had more than sufficient sea time to obtain his limited Masters license. After graduating high school, he moved to south Florida to peruse a career in yachting. While working part time on various yachts and taking various academic classes, Jo decided to additionally peruse his other passion, Cooking. After attending two different vocational high schools for Culinary Arts, he was accepted to the Culinary Institute of America, where he pursued an Associate’s Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. After attending for about a year and being trapped in a kitchen, the Ocean was calling his name. Jo decided to redirect his focus on his love for the sea, moving back to south Florida and obtaining his first captain position aboard a 72-foot Horizon motor yacht, where he spent his first summer away in the Bahamas. From this point on, Jo continued to further his career in the yachting and the maritime industry by working on several different private and charter yachts while seasonally managing the marina he helped develop on Martha's Vineyard. In 2009, Jo had a different passion and moved to Australia in pursuit of the young lady he now calls his wife. Together, they have traveled six of the seven continents and continue to travel consistently, whether leisurely or professionally. Jo carries an upbeat and energetic attitude while working to provide a professional, safe, and of course, fun experience.

Chef: Alun Mahon

Originally from Danville, California, Alun was inspired to pursue a culinary career from an early age. He completed his culinary training at the Johnson Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and began his career at The Breakers in Palm Beach. He continued on to work at two different hotels in Switzerland gaining valuable knowledge and experience. A family wedding brought Alun back to San Francisco where he started his next endeavor at the Stanford Court Hotel. There he applied his talents for the next five years until he decided to make a change and spent his following six months on large cruise ships. He then discovered the world of yachting and has not looked back since 1996!

Chief Stewardess: Jodi Juba

Jodi grew up in Georgia, but spent most of her summers and breaks on her parent’s sailboat cruising the Bahamas, and the Gulf of Mexico. After finishing university in Florida, she found herself surrounded by glamorous yachts and couldn’t help but pursue a career onboard. She has been working in the industry for the last nine years and has traveled extensively in that time. PREVIOUS YACHTS: Atomic, Blade, Pegasus II, Namoh, Scott Free

Stewardess: Walkyria Whitlock

Although Walkyria (Kyrie) grew up far from the ocean in a small farming community in Idaho, she always looked forward to sailing trips with her grandparents where they would often spot dolphins and pods of orcas. The ocean kept her heart, and Kyrie moved to Fiji at the first opportunity she had. She hasn’t left its side since. Her enthusiasm for life, passion for all things creative, and free spirit enabled her to explore many avenues that excite her such as yoga, cooking, and writing. As you tend to wear many hats as a stewardess, she is aided extensively by her previous experience as a nanny, barista, and bartender. This has made her background quite versatile, but the root of it all has been her love for people making her well suited as a stewardess.

Mate: Jordan Baptiste

Born and raised on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, Jordan was quickly introduced to the nautical lifestyle having worked at the boatyards and marinas around the island as a child. As a teenager, he spent summers working at Vineyard Haven marina as Assistant Dockmaster and established lifelong relationships in the yachting community. He continued on to spend seven years in the US Coast Guard in active duty and specialized in heavy weather search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, shipboard navigation, training and education. After he received an honorable discharge in 2009, he continued to complete his Associates Degree in Business Administration, upgraded his Captain’s License and went to work in the commercial shipping industry. A recent move to the private yachting industry has enabled Jordan to combine his licenses, training and experience while he continues to gain experience and sea time. In his off time, Jordan enjoys spending time with his family and friends and relaxing at the beach.
