XTA-SEA Crew Profile
Your Captain, Tamas, was born in Hungary in 1976, and fluently speaks 3 languages as Spanish, English and Hungarian. Travelling, his passion, took him to over 25 countries until he settled down in Alicante, Spain. In Alicante he owned 2 bars, where often he was bartending too. After several years of nightlife he started his own construction business which he finally gave up for sailing.
He is a licensed captain since 2003 and have over 40.000 nautical miles sailed including 3 Atlantic crossings with Jennifer Figge (the first woman to swim across the Atlantic ocean). He is also a certified dive master with over 600 logged dives. During his travels he has visited over 50 countries.
Your 1st mate/chef/hostess, Sara was also born in Hungary in 1977 and speaks fluently English, Spanish, Hungarian and basic Russian. She started to travel almost ten years ago, used to live in the States and Spain, meanwhile she earned her diploma of law in Budapest. Because of her parents, she learned sailing at very early age She was crew on the second crossing and the Caribbean projects also with Jennifer and Tamas.. She is a certified rescue diver and also an excellent chef. Have you ever heard about the delicious Hungarian goulash?
