ZALIV III Crew Profile

CAPTAIN -STRATOS TALIADOUROS

Stratos was born in 1956 and is a Greek national. He graduated from the National Merchant Marine Academy in 1977 and holds an A Class Captain’s diploma. He also holds all Certificates according to IMO, such as Advanced Fire Fighting, Life Saving Appliances, Crisis Management, Medical Care on Board Ship, Passenger Safety, and a Speedboat License. He is further certified for use of survival crafts, rescue boats and emergency procedures. He has worked onboard merchant ships before joining yachting in 1989. He has worked on private and charter yachts such as M/Y FADI, ZALIV and ZALIV II. He is married with two children and speaks fluent English and Turkish. During his free time he enjoys swimming, travelling and hiking. Captain Stratos’ extensive knowledge of Mediterranean sea is a valuable asset and ensures a successful charter.



CHIEF OFFICER – GKONTZOS KONSTANTINOS TZIOVANI

Konstantinos was born in 1984 in Arta, Greece. He graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy in Epirus, Greece in 2007. He holds all Certificates such as Advanced Fire Fighting, Tanker Safety, Ship Security Officer, Life Saving Appliances, Crisis Management/Simulator/Ship Handling, Management of Change, Medical Care on Board Ship, Passenger Safety, Specialized Training for ‘Gas Instruments’, for ‘RO-RO/PASENGER SHIPS’ and has also a speedboat license. He has 9 years of experience in yachts of all types and sizes. He speaks fluent English. Konstantinos has a passion for traveling, diving and all water sports.



CHIEF ENGINEER- NICK PAPADIMITRIOU

Nick was born in Greece in 1961 and is a Greek national. He has been a certificated engineer since 1980. He graduated from the N.M.M. Academy with all the necessary certificates;Life Saving, Firefighting, STCW, SSO etc. His experience consists of 12 years on ocean going ships and over 20 years in superyachts (private and charter) such as M/Y KYMA ALPHA, M/Y MATESTICK, FADI, ZALIV, ZALIV II and now in m/y ZALIV III. He speaks English, Italian and French at the basic level. He is married with two children. He is very good with micro office applications. He likes everything around the sea (i.e Scuba diving, fishing, water skiing & sailing), long motor bike rides and reading. He has also written articles in the yacht magazine ‘TRIENA’ in the past.



ENGINEER - NIKOLAOS BAKOKILIAS

Nikolaos was born in Greece in 1980. He has been a Certificated engineer since 2004. He graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Crete with all the necessary certificate; Life Saving, Anti-piracy training seminar, Risk Assessment/Management OHSAS 18001,Shipboard Safety Officer ,ISM CODE Implementation ,Tanker Safety Basic ,Tanker Safety in Advance, Safety and Fire Rescue, Ship security Officer, Risk Assessment/Management in the Shipping Industry Marine Incident Investigation. He has 11 years of experience on ocean going ships and charter yachts. He speaks English. He has very good knowledge of MS Office. His hobbies are cinematography, literature and traveling. He also loves football and he is an active member of an amateur football team.



CHEF – PETROS DRAKATOS

Petros was born in Greece in 1984. He holds a Chef’s Diploma from the Chef School of Rhodes Island in Greece and he also graduated from the Rhodes Institute, Department of Tourism in 2004. He attended various professional seminars; the Alain Ducass French Cooking Seminar in 2013, the Gastronomy Seminar "Cooking in Sous Vide" Le Monde Institute of Hotel and tourism Studies & the Gastronomy Seminar by Chef Antoine Schaefers Ecole Gregoire Ferrandi in 2012, the Pastry Seminar on Le Monde Institute of hotel and tourism studies & the Gastronomy Seminar from M.O.F. Chef Eric Robert" Ecole Gregoire-Ferrandi in 2011 and the Caramel Seminars from Pastry Chef  K. Varnavas in Rhodes.

He received a participation certificate and a second place award on the 3rd National Festival of Gastronomy Expo in 2005. He received a certificate of participation on the 17th annual conference of the AEHT Catering and Hotel Tourism at Blend of Slovenia (Participation in Cooking Competition) in 2004 and he also participated in Greek Gastronomy Festival at Zappeo Center during Athens Olympics. Also, Petros researched on Athletes Diet during the Athens Olympics 2004 and he participated in Vegetable Carving Seminars. Chef Petros has an extensive experience from 2003 in various 5* hotels and restaurants and he has great knowledge of Mediterranean and International cuisine. He is very creative and can satisfy the most demanding guests. Before joining M/Y Zaliv III he had a famous career at the owner’s luxurious hotel in the center of Athens and he was the Chef onboard M/Y Glaros. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar and drums, traveling and reading. Petros speaks English, French and German.





CHIEF STEWARD - CHRISTOS ZACHOULITIS

Chief Steward Christos was born in 1965 in Greece. Christos holds a Chief Steward Certificate as well as “Life Saving and Fire Fighting Appliances” and “RO-RO Passenger“. He has attended many seminars for his position and holds a Certificate on Basic Principles of Hygiene and Food Safety. Also, he has knowledge of Interior Decoration, Flower Arrangement, Wine List and Bartending Course. He has worked as a chief steward on the luxurious motor yachts “O’Mega ”, “Ninemia” “Turama” and many others. He is a very pleasant and professional person who guarantees impeccable service to all guests. During his free time he likes reading and listening to music. He is married and speaks English.



STEWARDESS - LUCIANA FELIX MARQUES

Luciana was born in Brazil in 1979. After graduating from High School she attended Stewarding Courses and holds all the necessary Safety Certifications. She has 7 years’ experience as stewardess in charter yachts (motor and sailing yachts). She has also studied computers and office administration. She is always smiling and tries to cater to client's needs at all times. Luciana speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian. In her free time she likes trekking and reading.





MASSAGE THERAPIST – VASILIKI ZACHOU

Vasiliki was born in Greece in 1988. In 2009 she graduated from the Beauty Institute of Massage Therapist – Spa IEK AKMI in Athens. She has 5 years’ experience at the most luxurious hotels including the Grande Bretagne Hotel as a Massage Therapist. Vasiliki offers to the clients’ spa treatments during the charter. She speaks fluent English and French (basic level). In her free time she likes reading and swimming.



STEWARDESS - VIC ARQUELADA

VIC was born in Philippines and he has been living in Greece since 1991. He joined yachting in 1997 on M/Y ZALIV till 2002, M/Y ZALIV II till 2003 and now in M/Y ZALIV III. Before Yachting he had 6 years’ experience in restaurants and hotels. Vic speaks Greek and English He is married with two children and he likes swimming and listening to music.



BOSUN- DIONYSIOS FOTIOU

Dionysios was born in Katerini, Greece in 1966. He has 18 years’ experience in the Ocean going Merchant Ships. Since 1992, he has worked on various motor yachts such as M/Y CARMEN FONTANA, M/Y CARMEN SERENA, M/Y ALMYRA, M/Y HIMERA, M/Y IRIS, M/Y ZALIV II and till now in M/Y ZALIV III. He holds a certificate of Bosun, Life saving, Fire Fighting, Speedboat license, Bunkering Responsible and Rescue. He is married with one child. Dionysios speaks English and in his free time he likes fishing and swimming.



BOSUN- ANTONIS GENISARLIS

Antonis was born in 1964 in Turkey .He holds a certificate of Bosun, Life Saving & Fire Fighting , Speedboat license and Rescue. His experience consists of 14 years on merchant and passenger ships and the last 5 years in ZALIV II. He speaks Greek, English and Turkish. He enjoys fishing and hiking.
