These roomy staterooms include first class amenities, individually controlled Bose audio system, LCD TVs, and ensuite facilities.
The fully equipped professional galley with full size stove, fridge, dishwasher and wine cooler is the perfect stop to gather around to observe the chef’s creative cooking style and sample a delicacy or two.

John and Sharon, known by their friends as Joc and Shaz, take great pleasure in welcoming you aboard “Ipharra”. A down under couple; Joc is from Auckland, New Zealand and Shaz from Perth, Western Australia; both world renowned water sport cities and America’s Cup holders. Together, for over 20 years they have pursued their love of outdoor sports, both on and off the water, with enthusiasm for traveling and meeting people.
Joc, with a sense of humor for all occasions, traveled Australia playing rugby until he arrived in Perth and met Shaz, a State Rep field hockey player. After both attending university in Perth, they moved to New Zealand in 1991 where their passion for sailing and a life on the water went wild. Starting in Auckland with careers in Accounting (for Joc) and Strategic Planning (for Shaz), they decided to leave the corporate world behind, for cruising New Zealand and the South Pacific. Here they developed a love for snorkeling and diving in remote locations.
Both qualified ocean Captains; Joc has a 200T Captain’s license and Shaz a NZ Bluewater Yachtmaster. They moved to the Caribbean in 2003 to embark on yet another new adventure in this “up over” part of the world, travelling throughout the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. They have experienced some of the best of life on and under the water. They have raced yachts, owned and operated their own yacht charter business, and have worked on luxury power and sail vessels throughout the world in amazing places, including working at 2 America’s Cup events, and exotic destinations such as Cuba, Norway and French Polynesia. Some of their favourite cruising destinations in the Mediterranean include Corsica, the Almafi coast, Sicily, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.
Cruising with Joc and Shaz is relaxed and fun. They work together as a team, sharing the stories and experiences from their travels, each adding their own talents to make your time aboard special. Joc, a certified Padi Instructor is eager to share his knowledge of the sea and his enthusiasm for scuba diving as well as all watersports, with his guests. Joc’s skills and qualifications are impressive; and well complimented by the fabulous culinary delights created by Shaz.
An accomplished chef, Shaz uses local ingredients to masterfully create an international menu reflecting their travels throughout the world, including a gourmet cooking course in the Loire Valley, France. She has a passion for creating mouthwatering, beautiful and healthy meals; a feast for your senses.

FIRST MATE : Grant RIGBY
Grant grew up on Guernesey in the Channel Islands. Growing up the beach and sailing from an early age gave Grant a passion for adventures, outdoors and the ocean. At a young age he started working on rescue boats and oil rigs in the North Sea. Grant has diving license, is a qualified Advanced Freediver and enjoys spearfishing. He loves travelling and has visited 43 differnet countries to date, including out of way places such as Indonesia and Honduras.
After obtaining an Honors degree in Business Economic at Kingston University, he spent 12 years working in the corporate world, in the banking and pharmaceuticlas industries. He then decided to pursue his love of the outdoors; captaining day boats in Guernesey and Nicaragua then the Mediterranean as a mate on luxury yachts. A qualified yachtmaster with a 200T captain license, Grant has over 5 years experience working on sailing boats and is looking forward to welcoming you abord Ipharra.
HOSTESS/STEWARDESS : Laurel JOHNSON
Laurel was born in England and has grown up on the water yachting with her family. She leaned to sail dinghies, windsurfers and yachts in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and North Wales; and is passionate about sailing and the outdoors. A capable sailor, Laurel also has extensive experience in customer service, bartending, fine dining, hostessing, housekeeping and events co-ordination. She spent several years working in high end hospitality positions whilst she attended Lancaster University; where she obtained a degree in Fine Art, with a minor in Medieval and Roman History. Able to speak French at a basic level, she is a qualified fitness instructor, and has almost completed a Yachtmaster qualification. Laurel’s friendly personality, sense of humour and her attention to detail is sure to make your stay aboard Ipharra an unforgettable experience.
STEWARDESS/DECKHAND: Katy McGilvray
Katy hails from Scotland. She has an enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing personality; with a love for sailing and sport, including field hockey which she played competitively for a number of years. She has been sailing for over 10 years, sailing and racing socially at the local yacht club; and has also crewed in races all over Scotland. She has worked over 5 years in very busy service industry businesses ensuring customer service was at the highest level that could be provided for bar and table service. With an Honours BA Degree in Sport and Active Lifestyles Promotion, Katy is also able to speak conversation level French. More recently, she was a sailing instructor at a summer camp in Maine, America teaching on Vanguard 15 dinghies. Always friendly and professional, Katy will ensure your stay is first class and full of adventure.

IPHARRA can accommodate 12 guests in 5 cabins. The Master cabin has a king size bed, shower and toilet. 2 VIP cabins have a queen size bed, shower and toilet. 2 Twin cabins have a twin bed, a pullman, shower and toilet. IPHARRA is fully air conditioned through out. Crew has a separate heads and shower.
